It‘s really old and not a local park. It‘s also not a selfie, but thinking outside the box here‘s my “ #parkselfie “ for #summerfun week 1 bucket list. We were in Rocky Mountain National Park and it was the week before Memorial Day. I would love love love to go back and spend more than the 2.5 days we had. (Also, I did not build the snow bear-he was already there).
pickI really enjoyed Wild River. No, not as much as Maine‘s first, House Between Tides (I see I‘m not alone in this feeling!) but the historical settings in Scotland, Chicago, and particularly the wilds of Canada, were terrific. It does take awhile to get going, but the second half of the book goes much faster than the first. Romance, adventure, family strife, twists and turns . . . No. 2 of 4 books for #JoysofJune.

Today‘s #summerfun is in Downtown Durham. I work in downtown so I visit the parks over lunchtime. My favorite park is Downtown Park which has “Major”, the Bronze bull plus a sculpture garden. Then a quick trip half a mile away is the “Annie Savoy” house from Bull Durham. #safeselfie #parkselfie #downtownDurham

My #beachselfie and #parkselfie for #summerfun. Both of these pictures are from past trips before the pandemic. The beach is from a cruise four years ago and the park is a local park that puts on a huge light display for Christmas.
