I saw this on Facebook a while ago and gave the first answer 😎 but I could do one or the other.

Ten-minute TED talk
About hot men of Middle
Earth … or tartan noir

I could possibly also do one about TNR but I might get too emotional.

#haikuaday #haikuhive

CBee I have no idea what I‘d talk about, but I‘m all in for a hot men of Middle Earth TED talk 👏🏻 5d
Jari-chan I think I would start talking about books in general or maybe about Warhammer 40K. Then I would totally get lost and forget what I was talking about and maybe ending up talking angrily about something queerfeminist, then getting angry at the world as it is and then getting removed from the scene 😅 5d

dabbe @CBee @Susanita If it includes Aragorn, I'll happily listen and drool! 🤤 4d
dabbe What a fun haiku! 🖤🐝🩶 Being the English teacher nerd that I am, I'd probably start rambling about grammar and why it matters, making all kinds of grammatical mistakes as I spoke! 😂 4d
AnnCrystal Middle Earth men or Tartan Noir...Sign me up for either of those speeches!

After freaking out...I'd likely focus on the arts. Share the three main responsibilities of being an artist/storyteller, the power of color, the impact of inspiration through notable history...of course, that's if I can find my voice 😂.

👏🏼🐝👍🏼🎤🐝💝.

JenlovesJT47 I could definitely give a Ted Talk about Old Hollywood. Or cats and why they are the best!! 😻😻😻 cool haiku 😎 4d
JenlovesJT47 I‘m also down for anything involving hot men, especially in kilts! 😏 4d
Susanita @dabbe @AnnCrystal @CBee @JenlovesJT47 How about hot men of Middle Earth…in kilts? 4d

JenlovesJT47 Hot men of first, middle, and last earth!! (Or whatever the proper terminology is) 😅😅😅 bring it on! 4d
JenlovesJT47 P.S. And kilts are a must! 4d
CBee @dabbe yes please ♥️ 4d
CBee @Susanita yes please 😂😂 4d
ShelleyBooksie Men of middle earth in kilts - yes please! 4d
lil1inblue 😂😂😂Tartan noir. Totally on board with hot men of middle earth in kilts. 😍 My impromptu ted talk would have to be on the Golden Girls. A long ways from kilts in middle earth. 😅 4d

How to Tell a Story: The Essential Guide to Memorable Storytelling from The Moth | Catherine Burns, The Moth, Meg Bowles, Jenifer Hixson, Sarah Austin Jenness, Kate Tellers

Do you have a story to tell? For over 25 years, The Moth has been bringing masterful storytellers to stages and radios across the country, and in this book they finally put their process of sourcing, shaping, and performing stories onto the page for all. How to Tell a Story reminded me why I believe in the power of stories to change the world, it made me more confident to tell my own, and it gave me the tools to tell my story and be heard.

12-25-23: The tagged book is another one that was found under our tree this year. This is my family. My husband and two daughters. And the one in black is carrying my first grandchild. Her name is Ava Rosemarie. I love them and really enjoyed our holiday today. More to come….

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!) Feel free to join in!

This was a wonderful read, I just finished it but I know it works. Because I applied some of the principles I'd read today, during my speech. It was a presidential debate like event, where 4 of my other competitors also spoke. I applied the pathos to best use, mixing humor and adding logos to the mix. Guess what! I won the debate(also the elections)!

Now take this from President of a School Parliament : read it, it's filled with knowledge.

Mehso-so

Really tight between a pick and so-so, and while it was well written and others might find it useful, it didn‘t work for me.

The producers of The Moth events and podcasts share their tips to crafting the perfect story. They spoke briefly about stories in job interviews or school applications, but the majority of what they gave readers advice about was giving toasts, which is not what I wanted. I did like the excerpts from Moth events.

Cinfhen Nice review but don‘t think this is for me 3y
Megabooks @Cinfhen thanks and probably not. 3y

My February #roll100 rolls: Jewish family and community culture & relationships, and communication tips, which might complement the other nonfiction currently on hand, too---on understanding and harnessing our internal mental chatter and hum, on healthy conflict communication, and iterative baseline habits building, little by little. Plus a tentative February, Aquarius, and Back History Month stack.

PuddleJumper Interesting picks! 3y
tokorowilliamwallace @brittanybooks I got this for ~$10 at B&N/BAMM!---though it is probably more suitable as one to pick up from the library. 3y
tokorowilliamwallace @PuddleJumper The other one I'm tagging here. I found another more recent book of the author's at a Dollar Tree! Can you believe it? 3y
brittanybooks @tokorowilliamwallace great find!! I‘ve had good luck on the ThriftBooks app lately 3y
