I just got these beauties in a secret sister gift exchange. I‘m super stoked because I started reading Tweaked earlier this year on an ebook loan but it was snatched back when it came due before I could finish it. The absolute worst! Oh well, I cannot wait to dive back in, and... who doesn‘t love Poe!?

I‘m can‘t say I enjoyed this book but it really did help me as I think through my own brokenness and wounds. It surely added to my journey and has equipped me to keep moving forward. I appreciated the authors willing to share about his own life and hardships. It is easier to listen to someone that knows themself well.

Little one had her girl scout meeting at the library today; so to the for sale section I went! Pretty excited for Scar Tissue as I also have Flea‘s memoir on its way from Amazon 🙌🏻

Pressing into this one. Easy to read the words but hard to absorb what they are saying! Page 117 of 454

I‘m in the in between books space where I don‘t know what to read next. Planning to start this 450 page gut wrencher. Here we go...

Ok. I'd Forest like to start with a disclaimer that I was caught up on a black Friday sale and saw a book by Russell Brand (whom I adore!) and scooped it up. I didn't realize it was a self-help book until I started it.
Overall, I felt this was a very well written book. The unique personality of the author gives this book a humorous aspect while still discussing a very serious issue. I love hearing the personal experiences the author included.

#addictionstory told from the parent‘s point of view. Discusses the love, guilt, grief, and fear a parent experiences watching their child suffer from a disease like addiction - the struggle to understand the volitional component - and its impact on the entire family. Nic gets addicted to meth as a teen and is in and out of rehab. Good discussion of disease of addiction and the impact it has on an entire family. #booked2019

EKonrad Have you read his son‘s book? It‘s so interesting to read things from his perspective too. 1mo
Blaire @EKonrad I haven‘t. Didn‘t know he had written one until after I started this one. May have to check it out. 1mo

This is a really powerful peace where how she felt of what happened, it is described perfectly how she felt.
