This tagged book is another book I need to read because someone recommended this book a long time ago in a narcissistic abuse support group I‘m in on Facebook. I‘ve heard good things about this one. I just added it to my Goodreads TBR. I‘ll read it eventually.
pickThis book is quite intricate, blending elements of a memoir, an analysis of authors grappling with addiction, and an exploration of substance abuse treatment. Her memoir was particularly captivating and the most engaging aspect of the book for me. She also included stories of individuals she encountered during their recovery journey.

pickA soft pick, but still a fun ride. I enjoy the concept of assassins (not serial killers) going through a 12 step program to help them stop killing as a lifestyle. It does add a dangerous element to the step where you make amends since most of those people have vowed to kill you.

pickThe ending felt very unsatisfying. The whole book I felt like the ending was going to involve divorce, but the ending didn‘t even involve a proper ending or closure. This book is funny in the way of a Troost book, but it had a much darker tone because, ultimately, this is his addiction and recovery memoir. It‘s actually heartbreaking in some ways, and it‘s hard to put my finger on exactly why.

so-soI was a big fan of Full House growing up although not a big fan of the character Stephanie Tanner, I still wanted to see what led to her downfall after coming from one of the most wholesome shows on TV. It was a fast read, nothing truly eye opening. Just another childhood star falling into a downward spiral. A few interesting tidbits on Full House were revealed but other than that it was kind of a lackluster story.
