I'm just starting a Challenge in May and June to read books set in an Asian Country, or that visits an Asian country. What are your favourite books that are set in an Asian country or visits an Asian country? To help me get to as many different countries during May and June, as well as the book title let me know the Asian country involved, thanks. #setinasia

Desha If you want to take a look at my Litsy feed there are several choices for Japan! I'm in a Japanese book club and we read a different book every month ❤️📚📚 8y
Andrew65 Thanks @Desha, I will have a good look and choose one for my Japan book. What a lovely idea! 😊 8y
JacqMac Pachinko is set in Korea and Japan. And it's fantastic! 8y

@RealLifeReading #setinasia #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge Some of my set in Asia books. I live in China now and also lived in Japan for 4 years so I'm very interested in the culture, history and literature from both countries.

Last late entry for #septphotochalllenge is a book #setinasia
I have so few I feel like a failure! 😞 #somethingforsept #somethingforseptember

Gezemice I also realized I read very few. But that's not a failure. It is room for improvement! 8y
Ellsbeth I think it is a good opportunity to read some great books for the first time! 8y

"But who can say what‘s best? That‘s why you need to grab whatever chance you have of happiness where you find it, and not worry about other people too much. My experience tells me that we get no more than two or three such chances in a life time, and if we let them go, we regret it for the rest of our lives."

Pickpick

I know intellectually that some people can work hard their whole lives, and be savvy, and smart, and yet struggle to change a thing about their circumstances, but emotionally it's a hard life truth to grasp. This book was worth reading to challenge this prejudice of mine. #somethingforseptember #septphotochallenge #setinasia

shawnmooney You really know how to hook potential readers in, don't you? :-) What a great review! 8y
EnidBiteEm @shawnmooney 😀 Practise, I think ... I've been bossing people into reading books since, oh, about 1980 .. 8y

Here's a compelling read for today's #setinasia theme. This book also holds a special place in my heart because I bought it for myself during my first year of teaching to celebrate my pink slip being rescinded. #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge

MrBook Great pic! 😊👍🏻 8y

Some books that are #setinasia that I found on my shelves. The picture is the sign for the ramen restaurant my friends and I went to every Monday night when we lived in Japan. The owners became surrogate parents for us and that picture always makes me smile. I hope I can go visit them soon. #septphotochallenge #somethingforsept

DebinHawaii Great stack and picture! 👍📚❤️😀 8y
