Ruthiella I‘m not sure what Sydney said to Mrs. Kerr at the end. Did she mean that Mrs Kerr‘s behavior taught her what cruelty and unfairness was through her treatment of Mr. Milton and Sydney? (edited) 2mo
mcctrish @Ruthiella I don‘t understand what Sydney meant either ?! I mean we know Kerr was manipulating people but do the people know they were being manipulated? The words go round and round and I don‘t know what they are actually saying 2mo

willaful @Ruthiella Yes, I\'m pretty sure that\'s what she meant. I suspect Kerr\'s nastiness about Milton brought it on. She was hoping to get Sydney to mock him with her.

@mcctrish Sydney definitely knows, and I think Milton may have too, even though they were still affected by it.

mcctrish @willaful you are right, Milton knew ( maybe couldn‘t believe it ) Kerr was being a meddler 2mo
Bookwormjillk This whole chapter was confusing but pretty sure they all told Kerr off. 2mo
julieclair Kerr appears to be feeling some remorse, but I think that‘s only because she‘s feeling sorry for herself now that Sydney has told her off. 2mo
