One left. I started Craig & Fred on audiobook - I think I‘m going to make it 😉.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Great job! And yes, I think you got this!😁 5y

A short punchy book with lots of good advice.
#NFNov
Also ticking off the #somethinginspirational box for #NonFiction2019 as this book has inspired me to just do the art. 😄
@rsteve388 @Clwojick

rsteve388 I loved this book. It was the advice I needed at the time. 5y
Clwojick This sounds fun! Stacking! 6 pt. 5y

No offense meant for Grandma Gatewood - her story is an inspirational story, and I‘m sure it would be a hoot to have heard her talk about her adventure. The low rating is really due to the construction of the book. I wish the writing was as glowing and glowing throughout the entire book rather than at the end. Too choppy in a way, and I think it‘s because every detail from her journal is used. I can see why people gush over this, but not for me.⬇️

Librarybelle #SomethingInspirational for #Nonfiction2019 , because she had such a terrible life and found inspiration in nature. @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 5y
Librarybelle And, my choice for #withmylittlestickofblackpoolrock , because she had a walking stick and climbed over rocks! 😂 Probably as close as I can get for today‘s #RedRoseSeptember @Cinfhen @arlenefinnigan 5y
arlenefinnigan Good work! 😉 5y
Cinfhen Ha!!! Great review and nice way to tie in today‘s prompt!!!! 5y

Odette Sansom deserves to be more well known. After volunteering in WWII she was sent into occupied France where she successfully ran missions until betrayed by a member of her unit. Imprisoned & tortured by the Gestapo & was eventually sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp, put in a dark isolation cell & left to die. She survived all of it & was the most decorated spy of WWII #NonFiction2019 #SomethingInspirational #Booked2019 #SoldiersStory

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Stacking! That sounds excellent, and definitely like someone we should all know more about. 5y
Cinfhen Sounds great!! Thanks for posting & sharing ♥️ 5y

Oh how I wish I could be as brave as Lindy! I am happy that she is one of the women changing the framing of rape in comedy. I am overjoyed that she is proud to be fat because I am one of the women she makes feel more beautiful. I can‘t wait for her next book this spring! 5⭐️

britt_brooke Meg, may I ask what book you used for “from another POV”? I‘m trying to gauge if what I‘m planning to use makes sense. 6y
Megabooks @britt_brooke I used this one. There were so many examples of how black people (students and professors) were treated differently - on college campuses in particular. Especially black men. Plus his upbringing was entirely different from mine. I feel like I was too dumb and immature to think about how people were treated when I was actually in college. I‘m glad I‘ve gone back and thought about it. Hope this helps! 6y
8little_paws @Megabooks that book is amazing! 6y

Megabooks @8little_paws It totally is! Kiese follows me on Twitter!!! 🎉😁😱 I posted to him how grateful I was to read Heavy and HtSKYaOiA. Both are fantastic books! 6y
Weaponxgirl Just so you know, of course you are beautiful! 6y
britt_brooke @Megabooks Thanks! Very helpful. I was thinking of using The Trauma Cleaner and I think it works as well. PS. I read Heavy recently and loved it. 6y
Megabooks @Weaponxgirl Thank you! ☺️ 6y
Megabooks @britt_brooke From the description I read from @Cinfhen, I‘d 100% agree! 6y
britt_brooke @Megabooks Thank you! 6y
Cinfhen I read this last year and thought she was really entertaining and insightful. A few essays were a bit over the top but that‘s her “shtick” 6y
Cinfhen I think I used Hillbilly Elegy for my another POV @britt_brooke 6y
britt_brooke @Cinfhen That‘s helpful, too - thanks! I feel good about my choice now for sure. You ladies are the best! @Megabooks 6y
Megabooks @Cinfhen I thought she struck a pretty good humor balance. I‘m excited to see what‘s next for her. 6y
Megabooks @Cinfhen @britt_brooke I think the two of you are pretty fantastic! 🤗🤗💙 6y
britt_brooke @Megabooks 🥰🤗😙 6y
