Cinfhen Such an AWESOME challenge but I‘m all booked for 2023!!! If you decide to run another challenge in 2024 please tag me!!! I love this one 3d
GingerAntics Taylor Swift does not scream reading to me. 2d
CSeydel @Cinfhen You bet! 2d
rabbitprincess I‘m not on StoryGraph but hope I can borrow these awesome prompts as a fun way to find books for my “read soon” pile 😄 2d
CSeydel @rabbitprincess I debated whether to try to “host” it here as well - it feels like less work to set it up over there and then let people run with it at their own pace. But maybe I‘ll think about how to do it here. 2d
CSeydel @rabbitprincess Feel free to use the prompts any way you want! You can use the tag #bigfabbeatles so I can follow your progress 😊 2d
rabbitprincess @CSeydel Excellent! I‘ll be sure to tag you as I go 😄 2d

#StoryGraph: fiction mystery thriller dark mysterious reflective
336 pages

I am particularly attracted to books about “mind-control” in any form it takes. So, when this story started turning in that direction, I was all in. The mediocre ratings on Goodreads baffles me. 5-stars from me.

Armed with only hazy memories, a woman who witnessed her friend‘s mysterious death has since spent her life trying to forget.

Jane Austen is enjoying August, 1806, among Derbyshire's craggy peaks, sparkling streams, and cavernous gorges. That is, until she discovers the corpse of a young gentleman whose blond curls and delicate features suggest the face of an angel

As it‘s the last day of January, it‘s time for the final #AuldLangSpine check-in!

Despite being the host, I‘m not a particularly swift reader (I tend to both dally and luxuriate). So, I‘m quite pleased with my total of 5 books read (3 print; 2 audio). It‘s more than I typically manage! I‘ll chalk it up to January being/feeling INTERMINABLE this year! 😅 I‘m thankful I had stellar picks from @JamieArc to see me through. Saltus was a standout. ✨

monalyisha Thanks to everyone who participated! I hope you had a blast, solidified a readerly bond, and enjoyed the picks from your list. I‘ll tag everyone here — both to remind you to make your final post (if you haven‘t already), and to say “thank you” for making this such an enjoyable event. As always, it‘s been a pleasure. 💓 1w

Sarah Gailey is one of my favorite horror/thriller authors. It‘s really hard to put her in just one category, but I can say that I have rated all of her books very highly. This one was exceptional....ly creepy!
