A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid is a good fit for readers who are interested in a dark and atmospheric story that explores themes of mystery, fantasy, and the blurred lines between reality and myth. ⬇️

suvata When architecture student Effy Sayre wins a contest to design her favorite author's family manor, she finds herself on a remote, crumbling estate filled with disturbing secrets. With the help of a rival student, Effy must unravel a decades-old mystery, but there are dark forces, both mortal and magical, conspiring against them, and the truth may bring them both to ruin.

If you have #StoryGraph you might join me in a one-week ReadAlong of A Study in Drowning. It starts today, but I just found it so I joined it. I like the idea of doing a ReadAlong for one week as opposed to one month.

I finally played around with the #storygraph 2023 wrap-up, and I'm really digging the summary infographic. Also all the stats!

Happy New Year! Here‘s to a great year of reading for us all! 🤩📚🎉💜

#storygraph has released the #storygraphwrapup and included shareable images to boot (I‘m pretty sure this is new as I don‘t remember a graphic like this last year). I was able to read two more graphic novels yesterday so my total went up a teensy bit. Have already set new and higher reading goals for this year, naturally 😆

TieDyeDude 💪🎉 6mo
Deblovestoread How do I make this happen? I have my whole long wrap up but can‘t figure out the shareable images. Feeling a little dumb 🫤 6mo
Eyelit @Deblovestoread on my wrapped at the very bottom there were two hyperlinks… one said share cover collage and the other said share summary graphic - the pic above is the summary graphic. Hope that helps! 6mo
Deblovestoread Thank you! I don‘t appear to have the links. I will contact them. Thanks for the help 😊 6mo

It was another year of great reading! I managed to meet (and exceed) my reading goals, completed a lot of reading challenges, and just overall had a good time with my books this year. Above are my #top23of23 - all rated 4.5 or higher on my #storygraph 🤩
Here‘s to the new year bringing more excellent books our way!

SaraBeagle This was on my best of list the previous year! Such a great collection. 6mo
Eyelit @SaraBeagle it really is! Read it for a book club and one of the few times everyone liked the book! 6mo
Soubhiville I recognize a bunch of these 😁📚❤️ 6mo
Eyelit @Soubhiville we did read some good books in our clubs this year 😃 6mo

#storygraph just keeps getting better! Last week it was overhauled recs (already good to begin with, now even better) - and today I noticed the much talked about barcode scanner feature went live for me. Tested it out, works great! Perfect timing cause I was planning on cataloguing my owned books for stats (and to help ensure I #readmyshelves in 2024) - thanks to this scanner that project will take much less time! #thestorygraph

I was just checking my challenges and goals on #storygraph today and noticed that I recently (probably some time last month) surpassed my yearly books goal. I‘ve still got a bit to go on pages (will definitely meet by end of the month) and I didn‘t set an hours goal for audiobooks (tho will do so next year!)
I honestly didn‘t think I‘d meet the goal this year - it is def my highest ever I think… 😆 #readinggoals
