For the #LittensDressedInBlood prompt “Monster Mash”, I chose The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen graphic novels. I haven‘t read all of them and sadly I don‘t own any, though I will definitely be rectifying that soon! I love the idea of mashing up the storylines of several literary characters into what is essentially an anti-hero group of badassery. 😅
bailedWow, that was so terrible. The first volume‘s story was okay. I think it‘s safe to say now I‘m not a fan of Alan Moore and Watchmen was a fluke. What‘s so disappointing, though, is that I love the CONCEPT. I mean, all of these great 19th century fictional characters teaming up, led by the one woman on the team? So fun. Like V for Vendetta, I have to say I enjoyed the movie interpretation much more than the original graphic novel.
Another trash bag on the dumpster fire of 2020.
