These books are never what I expect, but it always blows my mind.
A very satisfying end to a very heart-rending journey.

Hob weaves true magic with her writing. Her poetic, imaginative prose takes you places you've never dreamt of; contiplating situation you'll never face, but truly do though her stories

Enchanted_Bibliophile Going into a darker, more introspective character study with this book makes it much slower than the previous two (which were already slow) so perseverance is the name of the game. Don't try to rush, stick with it I promise you'll be glad you did. Even if it test your tolerance for grimness beyond what you think you can handle. 16h
Enchanted_Bibliophile The complexity of the character bonds is what really pulled it off for me. Nighteyes, Fool I'm looking at you.
The prolonged revenge quest got a bit much for me, but the character development I got out of it was so worth it. Understanding where Fitz came from - his physical and psychological suffering - made me understand his need for revenge.

Enchanted_Bibliophile How he revenged himself in the end, O Man!
It shows just how much he's learnt and grown and it was just spectacular.

I'm gonna miss these characters, they've become a part of my heart.

This book manages to highlight the important issue of book banning, while also being hopeful and laugh-out-loud funny. Although several members of my book club complained that there were too many characters to keep track of (keeping a character list as you read is very helpful], we had a great discussion. We have even decided to read some banned books in future months.

Reggie There‘s a couple of people in my bookclub and they always make a character list. I‘m always impressed with them. 1mo
BooksandCoffee4Me I‘m impressed! As a teacher, I taught kids to make character lists, but would it occur to me to make one myself? 😂 1mo

Some of the magic from the previous books eluded me in this one.
It was still incredibly tense, distressing, and harrowing.
However, most of the twists I foresaw this time around. I wasn't as taken aback by the events as I was with the previous two books.
Still, I'm anxiously trying to make time to read the next book.

I love this book. It's one of my favorite King books. It's the classic haunted hotel story. Family, who already has issues, moves inside a hotel to take care of it during It's off season and all hell brakes lose.
I would love a prequel with Grady and what happened with his family 🖤
