Exhausting but fulfilling day both at work & at home. Capping it off with cinnamon milk, half a palmier, & some poetry. Not pictured:Em-cat snuggled on my lap.
#PoetryMatters Day 24: #Wake - this was one of the poems I asked family members to read during my mother‘s cremation service and my college kid read it aloud again during the December break when we finally released mother‘s ashes into the Persian Gulf. Found the poem in the exquisite tagged book that gave me comfort during my time of grief.
#DaysDevotedTo Day 13: My mother passed away last Sunday. This poetry anthology on #Kindness, peace, and renewal comforts me.
#DaysDevotedTo Day 6: #HealthyLifestyle means standing in awe and wonder at what the world has to offer - plus this viral cake with pistachio and kunafa filling.
In a classroom, I think students would like looking at the images and sharing what relates to them. It is easier for kids to share something if its represented so they don't feel “weird“. Maybe a good book at the tart of the year as another informal get to know me.
