I‘m going to do several posts about the Kentucky book fair. 1) I got to meet the sweet granddaughter of MLK & Coretta Scott King. This is a great tribute to her family, as well as inspiring.
2) Also got to meet our First Lady of Ky, who came to hand out the adorable coloring books about their dog. Winnie became popular during the pandemic because she would often be present at daily press briefings. Of course, Winnie wasn‘t at the fair ❤️

#WhereAreYouMonday - I cannot read just one book.

I started my day with the ARC of "Love at a Funeral and Other Awkward Conversations" - New Jersey, in spitting distance to NYC.

Moved on to "Earls' Trip", takes place in Cumbria mostly.

Fugitive Telemetry ('Murderbot 6') in the car - space station (not pictured).

Now "The Ghost Cat" , set in Edinburgh.

Later "Lover Revealed" is set in Caldwell, fictional city in NY State, north of NYC.

julesG @Cupcake12 - love this idea 3mo

#NewYearNewBooks Day 16: One of the most profound picturebooks on #Refugees and asks this question: “What if I had to move from place to place? And the only things I could keep were what I was able to carry with me. What would it be like to live like that?” This is one story that pushes the envelope just a tad further, as international picturebook titles from Norway usually do.

Mehso-so

After reading “Trust“ by Hernan Diaz, I wanted to know more about the time of the Depression. But I should've chosen my book more carefully, so my rating is a personal one and for the right person this book might be filled with insights and information. This is an economical view only regarding this time, so there is no picture of how people were affected or how they came by. Most of the things I read I didn't even understand...
