Finally got a day to actually read, unfortunately it is because I am in bed sick.... but hey! A reading day is still a reading day! 📖 had to bail on my last book, just was not the right read for me... not sure if I will pick it back up later or not, but glad I get to read this amazing book! So far I‘m only about 1/4th of the way in and I absolutely love it! Can‘t wait to read what happens next 😁

Such a perfect book for October!

Having watched the show and desperately wanted to read this book last year, finally getting around to reading it this year, it was absolutely fantastic. Eleanor “Nell”, trying to find a home and a place to feel herself. Thinking all along she had finally found a place to belong, only to feel as if everyone turned on her. Definitely not a book you want to read “In the night, in the dark.”

#bookclub
Our first book we read in our newly formed book club.
Definitely a very twisty and interesting post-apocalyptic world. Loved Atwood‘s description of color throughout the book. I have to admit, I loved the suspense of not knowing what was going on, being thrown into the world and finding out everything came to be, but it was a book that really took me time to read to understand.... Would love to hear anyone else‘s thoughts on the book!

Planning for a family trip and the first thing I do is pick out books to read. 📚 Obviously the most important things to bring!

We are going to the east coast for a beach vaca 🏖 , so I picked out books that are based there. As such, Nicholas Sparks books are the majority. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can‘t wait! Less than a week away!

I can‘t say enough great things about this book. Finished in a few days and was not at all what I was expecting. When I hear romance, I assume a passionate love of someone. Yes, it did have that, but not in the way I assumed. Very well written and a absolute joy to read. Not necessary a “happy” story - but I would say a happier ending than what the bookstore clerk had me believe. 😊

I had my husband pick the next book for me to read, so he handed me his well read copy of “The Hobbit”. I know, I know..... I‘m probably one of the few that had not ready any of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s books, but I want to change that. I also think my husband is excited to finally talk to me about them!

wordslinger42 A bunch of us are going to be doing a read-a-long of Lord of the Rings if you'd like to join in! 😊 I think it's going to start end of this year/beginning of next. @JazzFeathers is that right? 5y
Brithomas17 @wordslinger42 yes! That would be perfect. 😊 I would absolutely love to join! 5y
JazzFeathers @Brithomas17 @wordslinger42 Yes, l think that's about the time. We'll be finishing The War of the Ring end of September. Assuming that we'll need another month and a half for Sauron Defeated (we're reading The History of The Lord of the Rings) we'll probably start reading LotR by the end of this year. 5y

Reading “Circe” by Madeline Miller, and I definitely feel like I had some hyped up recommendations.... I‘m about half way through the book and really having a difficult time finishing. Miller is a phenomenal writer and has wonderful descriptions of her characters and the world they live in. It‘s about Circe from Greek Mythology, and maybe I‘m just not as interested in that as I thought. Hopefully it finishes strong 🤞🏻

This book is amazing! I found the sequel at a bookstore in NYC a few years ago, not knowing it was a sequel. As soon as I realized it had a prequel book, I just had to read it! This summer I had some time in the mountains in Colorado to do some reading and wow, this book had so many twists - I absolutely loved it. If you are into murder mysteries/police investigations, you will love this book. I never had any idea how it was going to end 📖

Reading Hope Never Dies by Andrew Schaffer as a recommendation by my local bookstore since the author was coming to our town to do a signing. I did not get to go to the author signing but overall has been a fairly good book. If you were really into their bromance memes that came out after their time in office, you will probably love this book.

It was a good book and an easy read. I enjoyed his characters but I felt like it was a little choppy. Found out from meeting the author last night he worked in television, so I feel like that‘s why I felt his writing felt more like that. Could actually see it being a great movie one day. Oh, if the author comes out with a audio version in his voice - definitely get it! He has such a wonderful reading voice and puts so much life to his characters.
