Just finished PaulieAnn‘s 1st chapter book It puts her to sleep every time I crack it open! Not sure if that means she likes it or not, but I found it very charming! I‘m looking forward to reading the series! It was such a pleasant surprise when the hospital librarian brought us some books to choose from and I happened to pick a book which had a main character that shared a name with my sweet girl! Spelled differently but still very cool! 💘✨

I got brought this set of books by my father when i was about 7/8 years old, and i only completed reading the collection this year at the age of 21!

I enjoyed the stories for the most part, I did find 'The horse and his boy' quite a drag to get through out of all of them, and i think the one i enjoyed the most was 'The silver chair.'

I didn't expect the books to end how they did, though it should have been expected due to the religious aspects.

“I‘m sitting against a tree,‘ said Susan, ‘and look! It‘s getting lighter - over there.‘”

KatieDid927 @LiterRohde 100%. If that‘s the order he meant them to be read in, that‘s the order he‘d have published them in! Silliness. 5mo
LiterRohde @KatieDid927 After saying these are the only real covers and this is the only way to read them, and while I stand by those statements, I do feel a little like a metaphorical old guy on a metaphorical lawn telling some metaphorical kids to get off. And yet sorry, not sorry. 5mo

Clare-Dragonfly @KatieDid927 @LiterRohde Sometimes when I reread, I go in chronological order for funsies. But it‘s not as good and I don‘t think any new reader should start with Nephew! 5mo
KatieDid927 @Clare-Dragonfly Agreed! I think especially with rereads people can read in whatever order they want, I just do not like that they‘re now published and numbered in the chronological (incorrect! 😜) order. 5mo

You find yourself in front of seven identical doors. A voice from above tells you: “The seven doors lead to seven places:
Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, Hogwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros.” Which door do you go through?

First, I‘d wonder why I was hearing voices, then I‘d pick Narnia!

What would be your choice?

Well I‘ve finally read through them all! My faves are still holding that position. Can‘t say that I truly enjoyed The Last Battle except for Patrick Stewart reading it 😍. The ending was very sudden and almost too much. From a religious perspective, I get the lesson. From a story-telling point? It was kind of out of nowhere. Overall, I enjoyed the series. It will remain an integral part of my childhood.
