My first exposure to Bill Bryson. I‘m reading this in the van each day while waiting for my oldest to be dismissed from school

No photo with this one. I sent the book with a friend, because I knew she would love it. Brene Brown has important and timely research in this book. I wish I could read it again for the first time. So lovely
“We don‘t even bother being curious anymore because somewhere, someone on “our side” has a position”
“It‘s helpful to think of lying as a defiance of the truth and bullshitting as a wholesale dismissal of the truth.” I ❤️ this book so much!
How do you keep track of the series you are reading? I keep googling for upcoming books, but I feel like there has to be a better way. I'm thinking about announced and unannounced publishing dates. Please don't say Bullet Journals.
She has such a way of explaining things. I love it!
True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.
There are times when I choose not to read a book, because it hits too close to home. This book is already pushing me out of that comfort zone. I'm on page 4.
Even though he is asleep, after reading this book I don't know when I will sleep again. It gave me so much to think about and a great ending. I'm so glad it's number one in a series.
I'm liking this a lot so far. I hope the second half holds up. Also, I'm listening to Lip Sync Battle with Anne Hathaway and Emily Blount. What else is there?
Ignore the toys on the floor in the background. I want to read this book so badly I'm ignoring the mess.
Having a bittersweet moment at the park. My kids are old enough to play while I relax and read on a bench
I loved this book! I did get a little teary on the last page, but my boys patiently waited for me to regain my composure. 😁
I wanted to finish this book this morning, so I read as my children took out every toy in the house and had some sort of battle around me. I enjoyed the book and am glad I read it, but I found it to be a nice and interesting book. I didn't think it was twisty or a page turner.
My two favorite evening activities are waiting for me on the couch. My book and my yoga mat and strap
I have barely started this one. I'm apprehensive. It seems like some of the text is so obvious. It's a #botm pick from a few months ago. I'm hoping I'll like it better once I get into the story a bit more.
Read this book. 👍🏼👍🏼 Not at all what I expected. I'm so glad to have read it.
I read the jacket cover and heard several reviews. I feel like this is a good book, but it seems quite far from heartbreaking and suspenseful so far. Hopefully I'll get done with work a little early tonight and sneak in a few more minutes of reading.
I will read a grocery list if Sarah MacLean writes it. Her books are so goooood!
Reading this with my 9 and 11 year olds. It's so good and giving us so much to discuss. 👍🏼❤️
I finally got this book from the library after a 3 month wait. Why can't I have 4 hours to sit and read it now? Doesn't my life know it is supposed to be on pause?
As a mom of four boys, I find myself asking this question both silently and aloud quite often. ####### "I took tap, ballet, and jazz for almost 12 years, and what I lacked in natural ability, I made up for in enthusiasm. I rationalized that I danced in the wings at our finales because of my height. I assumed that if I was sweating, I was succeeding."
I loved every page of this book. I have done yoga on and off for years. I did a 30 day program in January, and then I moved on. This book has drawn me back to the mat and given me interest I didn't have before. So good.
Watching my kids play and reading in the sun
Such a wonderful book. I live in ND, and it has a reputation for cold. This book had parts that made our winters sound balmy and lovely.
Sunburn in your nostrils, a nostril tan, and armpit sunburn. No thanks. That is not at all what I'm interested in!
Is 9 books too many for a 3.5 day trip?
My least favorite of the first three books. Still giving it a 3/5
I really enjoyed this book, but I found the marketing to be misleading.
I'm supposed to read this for book club, but I'm in a reading slump. I'm trying to decide if I should push through and finish before book club or if I should wait and read it when I know I will love it. #readingproblems #hatetheslump #book24in2017
I hit the library jackpot today, and I came home with 5 volumes of Ms. Marvel and 5 other books. #notsorry #readharderchallenge
I loved this book for 300 pages. The ending was not what I wanted, hoped, expected, or enjoyed.
Um, 827 pages??? How did I not know book #4 was the same length as the other books combined? #readharderchallenge
You're totally safe from spoilers here. I have no words to describe this book. Read it for yourself. You won't regret it. #sogood
"He isn't a monster. If he did this to you, he would have rationalized it somehow. That's how decent people justify bad behavior." #truth
I just got an email from my library that Books for loving is in. Over the weekend, the books from the photo were returned and I was next on the hold list. #whoops #goodproblemstohave #lovemylibrary
I came late to the game on Tana French and her series, but I'm loving every page of it.
I bought this book when it was released but didn't read it right away. I read it over Christmas break and found it very encouraging and honest. It's also sad and funny and eye opening. It's definitely worth reading and discussing with friends.
I ordered this with her book Bad Feminist on my mind, but I heard on #bookriot that it has more similarities to Untamed State. I'm diving in. #readharderchallenge
I've been listening to her on Podcasts recently, and I am really enjoying what she has to say. I can't wait to read this book.
