Yes...many!!! I have moved around a lot. Joining local book clubs was how I met people. Due to COVID, I was able to rejoin the first book club I was ever a part of back in DC, because they are virtual now. I also host my own local (now virtual) book club called International Journey Through Pages, where we mostly discuss books set in other countries, focusing primarily on books in translation. #SundayFunday @ozma.of.oz

so-soI liked this one. I really enjoy many of the characters in this series, though there are definitely some odd “ducks” in the crowd! Tricia‘s (current lack of) love life is a bit creepy, though, as two former suitors are still interested and trying to win her back. This series is just as much about the characters and their relationships as the mysteries themselves. There was one extra worrisome (and surprising) bit in the book toward the end.
My local book club did a #blinddatewithabook holiday swap. Our group was super small, but fierce this month (we usually have 10ish). Our newest member brought a delicious apple cinnamon pie to the coffee shop. 😂 So yummy! In the swap, I got Sea of Tranquility. I‘ve not loved Mandel‘s books in the past, but I‘ll give her a try again! #bookclub

Hello!
I work at my local Waterstones book shop and have the great joy of running our Book Club.
In November our club wants to read a funny book and I‘m at a loss as to what to recommend. I give them a choice of three different books and the group votes for the book.
The books can‘t be too long and preferably not part of a series (unless it‘s maybe the first book?).
I would really appreciate your recommendations in the comments! ❤️

I invited some of my original book clubbers to come to the kids‘ book club I run - they started with me when they were 7 and 8 and have stayed in book club with me for 10+ years. They‘re all in college now! We haven‘t all been together since before Covid so tonight was so special. My kid is in the photo too to represent the new generation of Young Readers - they all met him when he was a newborn! Really love this part of my bookseller job.
