Except for the oddly cliffhangerish ending, I enjoyed this one. It's mostly courtroom drama, which isn't really my thing, but there were enough compelling characters and variations on the basic courtroom theme to keep my interest.

Chrissyreadit What grades are you homeschooling? Do you have a specific method or curriculum you use? I‘m curious… I homeschooled my two from 2nd and 4th through high school graduation and loved it. 1y

ImperfectCJ @Chrissyreadit My kids are in 8th and 12th this year, and we've homeschooled from the beginning, mostly influenced by Well-Trained Mind and later Build Your Library curriculum. This fall I'm doing hardly anything that feels like "homeschooling," though, as both kids are taking outside classes. Next year, one will be in college and the other is trying out a local high school. If he likes high school, I guess I'm done homeschooling. 1y

Traci1 @TrishB I've read all but the Haller that just came out. I'm trying to decide if I want to listen or read in print. The Bosch books are soooo good on audio, especially the ones Titus Welliver narrates. I don't think I've listened to any of the Haller books, though. 3y

When a 1986 murderer gets his case reversed due to DNA evidence ... but he‘s still guilty and they have to find a way to put him back in prison.

Got a little carried away with my #bookaweekchallenge and have finished my third.
I didn‘t realize this was part of a series but it actually stood well on its own. The beginning was a little slow but as it got going I couldn‘t put it down.

I guess I need to read the rest of the series now!

Although this started out slow, it had a great, although frustrating, ending. Haller for the prosecution was certainly a change and made for another great Connelly book.
