A great quick read. A friend put this into my hands and I otherwise would not have read it - my husband is always on a plane (or was!) and we have 3 kids, so the premise of a 12 yr old boy being the sole survivor of a major plane crash was worrying for me. BUT... it was so thoughtful, well-written and unusual that I just drank it all in.

Gothic, creepy, witchy, asylums & hysteria... perfect blend of 17th & 19th Century superstition and repression. Such a gripping read 🥰

Imagine a book co-written by Agatha Christie & Haruki Murakami. This is that book. Wholly original. Never really had a clue what was going on but loved it! Plus I liked this bit of writing advice at the end.
