You guys! Can someone explain audible to me. So it's the monthly fee for 1 credit=1book and some discounted titles? Thanks!!!! #audible #newbie #audiobooks
So happy to be tucking into a book.
It has been a looong day.
This is my sports book challenge. It made soccer palatable and I really enjoyed the author. #readharder2017
Just started this, I hope it is good! This is just the kind of WASPY intrigue I really enjoy.
They could not bear each other, in the end, and perhaps a thing begun in blood and death and salt must end that way.
I am a sucker for books set in icy waters. This is a very quick read but I loved it. #LetterN #LitsyAtoZ
Finally have hands free for a paperbook instead of a kindle, it's so nice! (I am usually wrangling children with one hand, reading with the other!)
Epic story of logging and life in the forest in 1600's Maine? YES, PLEASE! 717 pages, ok! Who do I share all the great information I am learning about lumber? Everyone.
Ok so confused! I have been reading this totally thinking I was reading The Girl on the Train, you guys must think I am crazy. But it was a great mistake, such a good story. I was mystified at Hollywood's changing the story SO MUCH in the previews. DERP!!!! I have been in a hurricane. My excuse.
A little lite reading for my hurricane prepping! Send happy thoughts that hurricane Matthew turns to the right!
My library is switching from Overdrive to Axis360. I hate change. It doesn't use kindle and reading on multiple apps is killing my mojo.
One chapter in and I love this book.
Sneaking in 5 mins while my dreamlets lunch. Oh for the days I could read with unlimited time!
When you are at the doctor like.....do I go get my book or just read my phone? If I get up, will the walk in and see my tush? Where do I put the book when they come in? Can I hand it to them? Will they put it back for me?
Chili burbling for hour 2, hiding from my wildling children in my scruffy kitchen.
Short stories are hard for me to get through but so far so good. #booksandfood hearty breakfast bread and cheddar.
At the park with my littles, this guy will have to wait.
“What do you do when you aren‘t teaching?” He looked irritated, then, all of a sudden, he didn‘t. “I don‘t know … I try and teach myself something every day. I work in my garden. If I have nothing to do, I‘ll spin a globe and stop it with my finger, and if I don‘t know anything about the culture and what they eat where my finger‘s pointing, I‘ll look it up. Sometimes, I go and see music.”
I have poured over years of the J. Peterman catalog and I have always wanted to read this book in the hopes it was a real life mix of the catalog descriptions. It isn't as polished or descriptive but it is in Peterman's voice and he is a real character for sure. I am completely uninterested in the business explanations which sound a little desperate but I enjoy having coffee with his somewhat rambling advice on following your childhood dreams.
"I wanted to look at the students while they worked. I wanted to look closely at their faces and see if I could recognize something reflected back to me, a portent or omen that might indicate I wouldn‘t fuck this up."

"Then she took the pearls and she tore a bit of the corner of her coat away and wrapped them and hid them between her breasts and was comforted."
I can't believe I am just now reading this!
"My mother possessed a true gift: she had the ability to enjoy herself. She saw the beauty of the world."
So good. If you like being a voyeur for eccentric families this book is amazing. The author/main character is on the macabre side and you have to have an enjoyment of dark humor, but I am loving this read!
