This is a perfect book for young girls. Vicki, her unicorn, & Kenny the magical snowman visit Santa to make her Christmas wish. It‘s hard to find some moral in this book—sometimes books should just be lovely, and it is—but upon thinking about it, I realized it‘s provides a subtle message about unselfishness. I am confused by the spelling of her name on the cover versus how it‘s spelled in the book. 🤷‍♀️

A cute office rom-com with lots of feels. I especially liked Declan. His thoughts had me laughing out loud. I will definitely read the next book in the series. 4⭐️

It is a cute story but not on par with other books that are similar. I enjoyed it, but it is more of a fluffy read, and I was expecting so much more. I'm still glad I read. 3.5ish ⭐️

Mika, Indian-born & English, chafes at the rules that she must keep secret she‘s a witch and she mustn‘t congregate with witches to avoid magic becoming dangerously strong. So she takes on the rules when she takes a job to teach magic to 3 youngsters in a house with non-witches (1 of whom is a very handsome antagonist to the whole idea). This is a very fun and emotional book that I highly recommend. Begs for a sequel.

willaful I think she does have another one coming out. 2mo

On the one hand, the illustrations - using a mixed media approach of paintings and puppetry - are amazing. But, unless the reader is very familiar with Frida Kahlo, the brief phrases as the text will not necessarily make sense. I liked the incorporation of English and Spanish with the text, though. #PictureBook #BBRC #LetterV
