The struggles of studying for the GRE. I tell my self to study for 2 hours, but my book says "read me instead". End up studying for 2 minutes and reading for 5 hours.

Commonwealth | Ann Patchett
Pickpick

Commonwealth is a story of six children who were thrown to be siblings after an affair, divorce, and marriage. It's told mostly through Franny Keatings view point. The story is written as a way to tell the story but also the reflection of their lives. The way the plot went was wonderful. It didn't take the normal path and bounced around from present to past.

Gone with the Wind | Margareth Mitchell
Mehso-so

Technically the rating is a 3.5/5. I loved the movie all my life, it was a classic. I like historical fiction and knew the movie was highly detailed. However, I didn't know how detailed the book was. Some parts moved fast, while others dragged on. The characters were all different and three dimensional. But Scarlett, love her, she annoyed me half the time. She was too smart for her own good and needed to recognize the emotions of others.

Nevernight | Jay Kristoff
post image

I started to actually sit down and read Nevernight yesterday. At first I started it then put it down, but I am determined. I believe I'm one Chapt 3 and there is already so much happening! Oh my word, just going through the first chapters I am already on a rollercoaster. With the third book out now I am hearing a lot about the series. So I will keep with it and hope I start liking it more.

So good! It started really fast past and made you want more. It didn't have much of a flat line in the plot. Kept me interested, and kept me wanting more. Highly suggest if you are looking for a super quick read that keeps you interested.

Vicious | V. E. Schwab
Pickpick

As always, highly impressed with V.E. Schwab! I loved how she wrote the book to cover the aspects of the past and present. It added to the story and made it better then having all the details jammed in. Keeps you on the seat wanting more. I adored Mitch and Victor, and the care they had for Sydney.

This book was written so well. Callahan allowed you to feel the pain and love that Joy had felt throughout her life. The only thing I wish, was I wish I had knee more about Joy Lewis. The love that her and C.S. Lewis had was so great. They loved each other through all and more so.

Loved this memoir! Recently started listening to their Podcast, and being the nosey person I am. I needed to know more about them. The stories of their lives were relatable and teachable. They gave excellent advise based on their lives, that can be used in your own it different situations. Favorite chapter was "Fuck Politeness". Would suggest to pick up, even if you never listened to their podcast

I recently saw this book posted by an Instagram influencer, which I can't remember who. But the title caught my eye! However, I felt guilty reading it without hearing their Podcast. Fell in love with their Podcast while waiting for the hold at the library. And I am not falling in love with their book. So far my favorite chapter is "Fuck Politeness". Can't wait to read the rest.

Exceptional book! Having started becoming more interested in the Enneagram, this booked helped not only learn about myself, but also my loved ones. It provided in-depth relatable understanding for each of the 9 numbers. As well, it provided a Christian aspect to them. Which can be comforting if you are of that faith or spiritual. I would honestly recommend to everyone, Christian or not.

One for the Money (Revised) | Janet Evanovich

The Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich are my go to books. My mom got me into them this year, and I adore them. They are funny and spicy! If the cursed reading slump shows up I grab the next book in the series. Even when I just feel sad about life, they cheer up . I adore Stephanie's grandma and most likely in love with Joe Morelli 😍😍. I can rave about them all day.

I adore this series! It was a little rough for me at first but I picked it up again, and still magical! It is definitely a book you have to fully be ready to dive into. Once you do you will fall in love with the story and how Schwab describes each London.

seaves582 I go back and forth on reading this. It sounds amazing, but I have heard some criticism. Have you read them all? 5y
crystalizedbooks @seaves582 yes I have read them all. I would say each has a part in which it does drag on, but I enjoyed them! I think it's a book series you either love or not love. 5y

Outlander | Diana Gabaldon

Almost done with the first season of Outlander. I have read Outlander last summer, but wasn't able to watch it on Starz. Thankfully Netflix finally put it on their streaming list. I'm very impressed with how they are following the book for the show. I have noticed Starz does an excellent job at keeping it some what align.

I have been really pushing my self to read non fiction books more lately. I try to stick with topics that I am truly interested in and not forcing the topic. #nonfiction

Hestapleton This book is so good! I‘m in the middle of my second reading. 5y
crystalizedbooks @Hestapleton I'm glad to hear! I just started it two days ago. The way the book is written seems so relaxed. 5y

The Nightingale | Kristin Hannah
Pickpick

There are no proper words to describe how beautifully written this story was. Isabelle and Vianne are two French sister living through the German occupation during WWII. Their story shows the strength of women during WWII, and how different woman worked to protect not only their families but what was right. Kristin Hannah shares a story of a mothers love. But also the love that sisters have.

Absolutely wonderful!!! This was a massive read, +/-800 pages of fantasy! But not normal fantasy, a very female inspiring fantasy. The men aren't saving the women in this story, but saving each other. Along with that, it touches into the LGBTQ+ community, which is AWESOME! This support is what is needed in fantasy book!

I don't cry often, but when I do it's because something really moved me. The story and plot moved me so much! Being from a southern marsh state as well, I understood the description of the marsh. That feeling of just enjoying the raw beauty. Delia Owens went above and beyond in describing the land, differating the language, and giving an allure of mystery.

RamblingRedhead84 As a native Arizonan, I've never been East of ol Miss. But the way Delia wrote made every detail of the marsh come to life. Aling with the characters. 5y

I picked this book up after watching the show on Starz. Highly impressed by the historical and fictional parrells. Philippa Gregory did a great job at keeping as accurate as possible, whole still adding fictional components.

Wonderful book mixed with short stories. This book allowed us to be brought into a culture and see through the eyes of woman in that culture. Not only do you feel touched by the stories, but by the bonding of woman.
