Christmas gift from @crazyspine ❤️. I‘ll start reading this one next!
Started reading this last night. I love it!
Hope everyone is having a good holiday! #jolabokaflodswap #merrychristmas
Just got this yesterday! Super excited to open it up Christmas Eve! #JolabokaflodSwap @MaleficentBookDragon
Beautifully illustrated story about a little girl who learns to love herself. It follows Sulwe‘s wish to be lighter and brighter like her sister and how she learned to love her own unique beauty.
Bought this for my niece a few weeks ago, and it finally arrived in the mail. She loved it.
10 out of 10 would recommend.

It was a quick easy read. It reminded me a little of Harry Potter, a magic school in Britain with “the worst chosen who‘s ever been chosen”. I liked it. Although it definitely does read a bit like Harry Potter fan fiction though. Although that draws no complaints from me. An easy read with some gorgeous weather and I‘m happy.
I got this book for my niece when she first started preschool. Found it and took it out to read to her. Her first year of school might‘ve ground to a halt with this quarantine, but that doesn‘t mean she isn‘t learning something new every day.
I read this about 10 times this morning for a very interested 1 year old and 3 year old. Strange not reading it at bedtime and instead when we first woke up. Always a fun book though!
“While Omu‘s big fat pot of thick red stew was empty, her heart was full of happiness and love.”
This was my nieces nap time story of the day - this book has beautiful illustrations (plus some wisdom about sharing that I‘m attempting to impart with a possessive 3 year old). Definitely recommend.
Definitely a pick for me.
Read this while watching my nieces during our period of social distancing.
Very sweet book about a grumpy old man who really manages to find family and something to live for.
A couple cute Halloween books to read with my niece today. She‘s super excited Halloween is coming up!
Bought this book for my niece - the illustrations are gorgeous. Highly recommended!
Plus it matches the #mermaid puzzle we put together today.
I only just bought this one, so I haven‘t started reading it yet. As soon as I finish The Beekeeper of Aleppo I plan on starting on some of these essays. I look forward to seeing a new perspective on the Middle East that I feel I don‘t often hear about.
I‘m starting my new book, got my frozen margarita, and a gorgeous view at sunset - I think I‘m set for the night.
I highly recommend this coming of age story. It was not quite what I expected when I first started reading it but Craig Davidson did an amazing job. It gave me a new outlook on how the human brain (and our memories) work. I loved it.
Started a new book to this wonderful view, the half hour hike down (and up) hill was torturous but we got our steps in today.
Can‘t beat the Mediterranean Sea.
I wish I was reading to this view, Florence is amazing. I‘m in the middle of Terry Pratchett‘s ‘The Color of Magic‘ though (which is amazing so far). I‘ve read through plane rides and train rides, completely worth it for this view.
Plus the over 15 thousand steps that Erin and I put in exploring Italy today alone.
Got some reading material for my trip tomorrow! Haven‘t read Dante‘s Inferno since I took Italian in high school, but it‘s the best part of the Divine Comedy.
Italy, here we come!
This is my first week check in!
Planning on finishing up my first book tonight if work is a bit slow on the overnight (or tomorrow when I have the night free). And I hit my fitness goal and I‘ve done 2 hours of yoga this week.

Okay, took me a bit to actually post this, but I‘ve been working on my goals for my fitness challenge!
My reading goals are to read 3 to 4 books and to work out 2 hours a week. I‘m hopeful to finish my goals although I know I‘ll be distracted for a couple weeks while I‘m abroad in Italy.
And I wish everyone luck on their goals!

“This time, I know what I need to do. I‘ll try not to worry so much. I‘ll be good to my fellow eggs while also being good to myself.”
Rereading this well-loved book in anticipation of watching the new Amazon Prime series! This was one of my favorite books in high school and it has not lost any of its humor!
