This book is pure oatmeal.
The plot is oatmeal, the characters are oatmeal, and the romance is oatmeal.
It's not a bad book, but the most I can say about it is that it was FINE. But just fine.
Maybe 2.5/5 stars⭐️⭐️✨
This book gets a solid shrug from me. 🤷♀️
The writing style felt a little off, as did some major plot jumps, but the cliffhanger ending piqued my interest. I plan on reading the next in the series (One Dark Throne) when it comes out in September.
My love for this series will never fade❤️📚
I. Love. This. Book. ❤️
Utterly and Assuredly in love.
In a world in which natural death and disease has been eradicated, overpopulation is becoming a rising issue. Hence the Scythedom. Scythes, people selected to be trained in killcraft, are responsible for killing, or "gleaning".
This book killed me. Absolutely killed me. How fitting that it be named Heartless, because I'm sure my heart is split clean in half.
That said, the book is beautiful. So beautifully magical and haunting all in one black and red package.
A charming poem:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I would even trim my mustache for you!
I want to bury myself in this book. I want to breathe this book like I breathe air. I want to carry it with me everywhere in the hope that the characters might lend me some of their courage, wit, and bravado. I loooooove this book, and you just might love it, too. ❤️📚❤️📚
Merry Christmas! I hope everyone's day is filled with laughter, coffee, and good books📚

About a young soldier fighting for the first time in the Civil War. He constantly struggles with the fear of running in battle while simultaneously wanting to be a hero.
Just couldn't get through it. While the plot line was intriguing, the whole story just seemed a little off. I think I just bailed because I am currently distracted by other stories😜
Just started reading this for Book Club at school less than a week ago, but I'm already halfway through.
Need to pace myself, otherwise I might go into a reading coma📚📚📚
