All I can say is…wow! This book has been on my book list for the longer time. It has a little bit of middle school humor but it was written amazingly and I couldn‘t put it down the last 100 pages. The ending was a SHOCKER! I wasn‘t expecting that at all! 10/10 would recommend
I didn't complete the whole 24hours for #24in48 but I was able to pass the halfway mark. I completed War by Laura Thalassa and got halfway through Stranger Than Fanfiction by Chris Colfer and The Undying King by Grace Draven. I was also able to start and decide to Chuck 3 other books I'd hadliw expectations for.
@Kenziejo and I have decided we're booking a weekend at Ravenwood Castle next time. 😂😂😂

@TheBookHippie sent me this one and it came in this cool case! It‘s sounds good!! 😎 🕶
I had high hopes for this one, and was a bit disappointed. I did like a lot of aspects, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
The writing was so stilted and the in-jokes so forced and absurd. Colfer needs a good editor, one who can help better direct his brand of humor. It did not work well with this book. I ended up flipping to the end to see if I knew where it was going (I did,) but I‘m not going to finish it.
🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ 4.5/5
Wow. This was amazing story about friendship, discovering yourself and learning from others.
Would recommend.
Though this story didnt go anyway I thought it would, it was touching and beautiful read.
I don't think I've ever enjoyed the characters from a story as much as I enjoyed these.
An unlikely star and four fans seems liks the setup for a bad fanfiction, but these charavters truely fit together like a puzzle.
I knew what was gonna happen in the story, it was obvious, but that did not prepare me for the emotionally.
Great book. And now I need some time off before I start a new one
I saw this on Litsy a couple of times and picked it up, because I needed something different. A couple of chapters in I am already in live with the characters. Good start 😊
September 12: Favorite Book Title Font - I really like this one. It reminds me of ransom notes! LOL #septinbooks17
After a two solid days of interviews, I am hiding out in a coffee shop with a book. #bookishretreat #donotdisturb
Exchanged my driver's license which was only so I could get my new library card. As you can see, I already put it to good use.
A story of five teens who face unique social challenges. Four friends decide to go on cross-country road trip before separating to go to different colleges, but end up with an interesting fifth wheel. Cash Carter, the famous actor from the TV show Wiz Kids.
Anyone who is struggling to fit in, or is going through a rough time, read this book and know you aren't alone.❤️

Chris Colfer's book is a light YA read. Four friends on 'one last road trip' before their paths diverge, i.e. college. Cue celebrity godmother that helps each of them find their way. Nothing profound. Not terrible either. Colfer's style remind me of Nick Hornby. #tnwhiskey
Finally got started on this. Only 75 pages in, though. Must sleep since j have to wake up at 8am to give my daughter her meds.
I've sat this in my lap to read three nights in a row and I've still yet to read a single page. Maybe tonight I'll read a little at least. My focus has been shit lately.
Day 155: "You can change a body, but you can't change a soul." #shoes by#betsyjohnson from #modcloth
This is a road trip book, a coming of age story, a story about friendship, and a story about fame all rolled into one. Sometimes it reaches a little, trying too hard, but always with good intentions.
WAIT. THE AUTHOR IS THAT GUY FROM GLEE???
(I actually own the first Land of Stories book too and never made the connection. I'm awful at celebrities.)
It was either this or binge-drinking. #stopitshammocktime
In case anyone was wondering, my day did not get better. Hoping I don't get a 9 PM call or email like last night...
Library hold came in! And since today's been shit, I'm taking lunch (2 hours late...) at a cafe and reading for a bit.
Oh my good lord I LOVE this book. Not just because it's Chris Colfer. Being a mega fan, it's achingly relatable. It's hilarious and super fun. But the ending.... I was crying for days. This book is by far one of my all time favorites.
Gonna listen to my audiobook and burn this new candle I bought myself while I do a pre-clean of this new apartment.
I am a fan of Chris Colfer. Great diverse characters. Each one felt real and not one sided. #readwithoutwalls
Here's the thing, I love Chris Colfer. I have read all of his books. This one? I just couldn't get into. It was well written and fun, but it just felt disconnected someone. Whether it's disconnect from me as a 25 year old who can't conceive a life of drinking or drugs at 18. Or disconnect in that I could t latch onto anyone within the story. I don't know. It wasn't a bad story. And the twist ending really got me. But it's a meh rating for me.
Our reviewer had this to say about #strangerthanfanfiction "is a story unlike any other I have read. Chris Colfer isn't afraid to touch upon subjects that are happening in real time and are very relevant to this day and age. "
How many books did I shove into my fairly small purse? Four. This bag is going to give out on me soon 😂
I used to think people were exaggerating when they complained about Mondays. Now I fully get it. I'd much much rather stay home and read my new book than squish into an overcrowded train and be in the cold.
I started this mainly because I was a major Glee fan and I am forever going to be curious about what went on behind the scenes which I'm sure could have been a show all on its own.
I was surprised however that although I did enjoy the little insights that were there (although obviously exaggerated) I liked the plot and the characters too. Was a quick and easy read but it had more depth than I was expecting
I might come back to this later; I adore Chris Colfer, I loved Struck by Lightning, and I've enjoyed the Land of Stories books I've read. But I could not get into this. It almost felt like he couldn't get into the heads of teenage characters. If it weren't for extensive talk if drugs and alcohol, I'd classify it as a more middle grade novel, based simply on the tone of the writing.
Up late, brain still buzzing after watching the first part of When We Rise on ABC. Open up iBooks to look for something to start reading and get reminded that since it's midnight somewhere I can access my preorder of this. I loved Chris Colfer on Glee and I love that he's taking the visibility from Glee and making his own dream come true.
