This is probably the most compact of the three books in the Promise Falls trilogy, so it might be my favourite. It made me suspicious of the tap water at my office and has prompted me to want to re-read the other Promise Falls books, so it's a Pick.

I took way too long to read this book and it became hard to follow and keep all the perspectives straight. Although I do like Linwood Barclay and the plot was suspenseful.
This was a hum-zinger of a book with almost every chapter ending with a cliff hanger. I loved the fast pace. At times I did feel like I needed to sit down and diagram all the characters as the point of view changed frequently. Overall, I greatly enjoyed.
Playing catch-up!

Pleased to be able to race through the last two in this series whilst away. Elegantly plotted with plenty of inter connecting characters and storylines this kept my attention right to the bitter end. Also works for a number of the #maymadness #mayacavengerhunt prompts !
Digging into the final part of the Promise Falls Trilogy (before it‘s due back at the library). Hopefully we‘ll get some answers as to what is going on in that town!
I really wanted to like this book - and I did enjoy most of it, but, as this is the third book in the Promise Falls Trilogy, there was a lot of re-visiting for those who hadn‘t read the earlier books or had forgotten. Also when we ended up with Celeste, Cal & Crystal all together there were too many initial Cs. That said, the conclusion was clever & I didn‘t see it coming.

This is a good trilogy, some of the other books are very hit or miss.
I gave this novel 5 stars because over the series the story became more complicated but was clear to the reader. Not all questions were answered so am hoping for another book. Excellent.
3rd book. Promise Falls is one messed up place. Don't drink the water 💦
A fast entertaining read. Satisfactory ending, but I think 3 books in the series wasn't really necessary.
November turned out to be a decent reading month, even with the post election slump. Thanks to Litsy, I know I am not the only one with that issue. I used the library a lot this month, another thing I can blame on Litsy. ❤️
Short chapters full of lots of twists and turns plus a bunch of memorable characters made this a page-turner of a read. A great end to a riveting and compelling trilogy.
A lot of twists and turns before the ending. Good stuff, the series would be good to read in one go so you don't forget all the previous twists and turns!!
Three hours of travelling for work today, would usually be made up with reading time. However, I'm travelling with someone I don't know, do I just read, say do you mind if I read or just make small talk!!? aghhh #booknerdproblems
Read a couple of emotionally draining books recently so onto a thriller for a breather! I find Barclay is either very good or exceptionally poor!!
I have a NetGalley question for y'all. I know these books are ARCs, so I don't expect them to be perfect. What do you do when you find a lot of misspelled/ wrong words. Examples of wrong words- you're instead of your, sight instead of site, threw instead of through. Is this something you send in the -notes to publisher- section? I'm new to NetGalley so I thought you smart people would know. Thank you!
FINALLY the third book in the Promise Falls trilogy is out! Now I can start reading the first book 😄
I finished Far from True (book#2 in this series) and went to download the next one. UGH! It isn't out until November. Don't you hate it when that happens?!
New book arrivals by mail. Next up Twenty-Three, Linwood Barclay and Watching Edie, Camilla Way.
