I finally read a book (it had lots of pictures). This was a fun exploration of monsters in the movies. It‘s very lighthearted and is mostly limited to very brief summaries and opinions of monster movies by John Landis. It was fun, and I have added a ton of old movies to my list of flicks to watch!

Clwojick What a cute kitty! What‘s his name? 🖤 2y
JoeMo @Clwojick So after a series of negotiations with a 4 year-old, he was named Hardy Priceless. I swear it would be easier to negotiate with terrorists! Originally she wanted to name him something like “Hearty Pink Face Priceless.” As I think someone had recently told her she was “priceless” and even though she didn‘t fully understand what that meant, she demanded it be part of the cat‘s name! 2y
Clwojick I adore his name, and that story! 2y

Amazing book filled with photographs, artwork and interesting details on horror movies over the past 100 years! 🧟‍♀️

From Boris Karloff, Peter Cushing, Jerry Dandridge, the Deadites, the Hammer movies and The THING right up to the present day monsters, it has it all; an essential book for horror movie fans! 🦇

Who's your favourite horror monster(s) ?

MsMelissa Do gremlins count as monsters? I loved that movie as a kid, and despite being ugly, I had a soft spot for the evil gremlins (of course Gizmo was my favourite). 4y
Pageturner1 always liked the vampires. my favorite movie as teenager was Lost Boys 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm It‘s almost impossible for me to choose a fav over any others... when I was younger I was obsessed with the Christopher Lee portrayals of Dracula. 😍🤤 4y

eeclayton I am strangely fascinated by Jeff Goldblum's fly. Which is weird since I've always been afraid of insects 😳 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @Book_Fiend_Melissa love the Gremlins movies, I've not seen them in years; I need a rewatch! 🦔 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @Pageturner1 Lost Boys!! ❤ 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I need to watch those movies and more Hammer! 😏 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @eeclayton that's a movie I've not seen, shocking I know! 😶🦟 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm @TheNeverendingTBR The older ones are better, and Christopher Lee ends up having fewer and fewer speaking roles because back then actors were paid more for more lines. If you didn‘t have an actor speak, you could pay them less and still bank on their name being in your movie. 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I didn't know this, that's weird; but it does show you how good an actor he really was because it's an amazing skill to act and not say much! Do you have a favourite Hammer movie? 4y
BiblioLitten So cool. A perfect book to gift too! 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm @TheNeverendingTBR Ooh, that‘s a hard one, but I‘ll have to go with the first one that started my teen craze, Dracula aka Horror of Dracula (1958): https://youtu.be/7bbnNdGmSGg 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @BiblioLitten Agreed, it's got tons of pictures, artwork and information in it; it's very cool! 🦇 4y
TheNeverendingTBR @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Very theatrical and horrifying 😂 4y
