#ScarathlonDailyPrompts #Day5 #Ghost Another of my NF ghost stories, this is about a haunted house in Brooklyn told by the woman who lived in it for 13yrs. Starting with the feeling of being watched, it escalated to scratching noises, laughter in empty rooms & balls of light bobbing along the ceiling. Along with bad dreams, it gradually became terrifying to live in the house. An example of a pissed off ghost! #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter #6pts

Pickpick

An interesting read about a haunted house in Brooklyn in the 80s. Elaine, a registered nurse, along with her two daughters start expiring weird phenomena. The feeling of being watched, different smells, light orbs, shadows, amorphous shapes, laughter, whispers, etc. I won't give too much detail but she claims all of it is true. A quick and interesting read.

#GhastlyGhosts When Elaine Mercado and her first husband bought their home in Brooklyn, NY, in 1982, they had no idea that they and their two daughters were embarking on a thirteen-year nightmare. This is the story of how one family tried to cope with living in a haunted house.

Sweetpea and her brother are helping me out with my bed rest week. (Nothing life threatening - my doctors and I are using this week as (hopefully) a reset for my body.) No worrying when insomnia strikes, no running around, just doing what my body wants, increasing water intake, and eating on a regular basis. The best thing about all of this (cat cuddling aside) is that I can read mostly guilt free! Well, I'm working on it. 😊

saresmoore I'm so glad you are doing this! Guilt free will happen! 8y
Reviewsbylola Sounds like a good plan! And I love your comforter! 8y

Lizpixie I'm in the same boat. Overdid it again for Xmas, am now spending a week or more doing nothing but reading, catching up on Netflix & drinking lots of water & herbal tea. Hope you feel better soon.❤️ 8y

We have the same plan, reading, Netflix, tea and water, and lots of rest! 8y
MaleficentBookDragon I understand the guilt thing. I always call my sister to tell me it is ok to take a day off when I really need it. Darn my father and his great work ethic! He taught us well, but now I feel guilty when I'm sick. 8y
Ais Hope you feel better also-take all the time you need it's important! 8y
LauraBrook @MaleficentTheBookDragon Yes, same here. I've been working multiple jobs since I was 12, and 26 years of all of that hard work has taken its toll. Plus, I'm a sensitive person and it doesn't take much for my system to get overwhelmed - for which I also feel guilty. If I'm working I want to be home. If I'm home I should be working on something. Yes, I'm crazy. 😜 @Ais Thank you - I need reminders that it's okay! 8y
Readerann Hope you enjoy your 'down time' with your furry friends and your books. Wishing you a happy, healthy, book-filled 2017! ❤ 8y
kspenmoll It is OK! Glad you are listening to@your body- sounds like a good Doctor. Take care, relax, read, cuddle- give yourself permission. To do list can wait. I have learned to say to myself- in 5 years will i care that I did this? Will it matter? It helps me. Enjoy that lovely comforter! Be well this new year! 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Now that you've a few more days of downtime, I hope you're feeling better, rested and centered. 💕 8y

#octphotochallenge #day28 #witchorghost Clearly I come down on the side of ghosts.I love a witch story too,Baba Yaga scared the crap out of me when I was 6,but ghosts & haunting fascinate me.I believe in hauntings.I have felt & seen things that make me a believer.A house my sister lived in was so oppressive I couldn't go through the door,I saw & heard something following me at the Quarantine Station & lots of other experiences too. #giveascarybook
