Thanksgiving Dinner

I LOVE Thanksgiving sides, especially:
1. Brussels Sprouts
2. Green Bean Casserole
AND
3. All the pie! (Except cherry 🤮)

DO NOT make me eat:
1. Cranberry Sauce
2. Sweet Potato Casserole (sweet potatoes are delicious, they DO NOT need marshmallows!!!)
3. I love turkey, but turkey DOES NOT love me 😭🤢

TheSpineView I am with you on the marshmallows. Too much sweet. I make my sweet potato casserole with a layer of brown sugar then crushed Pineapple on the top. You can also add crushed Pecans. However, my hubby doesn't like nuts so I leave those off. The mix of sweet with the tart from tge Pineapple and crunch of the pecans is divine. Yum! 3mo

TheKidUpstairs @TheSpineView I'm not a pineapple fan, but I do love sweet potatoes with pecans! My sister in law makes them that way, like you said the crunch of the pecans is wonderful with the softer sweet potatoes. 3mo

1. It‘s going to be a chill weekend with just my immediate family, so I should have time to read. I am hoping to get some jobs done around the house so that means audiobook time!

2. Usually broccoli casserole or my aunt‘s deviled eggs.

Megabooks @Cathythoughts it‘s pretty simple. In an oven safe pan layer cooked broccoli, a cheese sauce (we do a cheddar roux), crumbled crackers mixed with melted butter sprinkled on top. Some people cook it in the oven, but we just broil it for a few minutes so the broccoli doesn‘t overcook. Every family does it differently though. 3y

Having our Thanksgiving dinner at Maui Brewing Co. amazing. That‘s a bourbon with bacon on the side and a Brussel sprout salad and the main course then a small pumpkin desert loving this all for just $44.00 the taste of ever dish builds on the next what an experience I hope your day was amazing and you where able to read before hand like I did 🙏📖😋

#Thanksgiving Dinner! MMMmmm 😋! Got my turkey white and dark meat (wrapped in BACON!), mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, turnips, and buttered rolls, with some Sam Adams ale. (I don‘t eat stuffing or cranberry sauce.) Yams came after.

This year, there will only be 3 of us for Thanksgiving so we‘ve made early reservations. On Saturday, I‘ll be having friends and family over for a marathon game(s) session and we‘ll be eating Thanksgiving-ish foods. I‘m really looking forward to fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. Truthfully, I look forward to eating it all.
