Pete the Cat and the missing cupcakes is a great F book by Kimberly & James Dean. In this book Pete makes cupcakes for a party he‘s having but they all start disappearing! His friends are then on a mission to help Pete find whose taking his cupcakes. This would be an excellent RA book that could coincide with a math lesson. Throughout the book it starts with 10 cupcakes to 0, counting from twos downward. #ucflae3414f19
This book is a MF and I would read as a RT. Love Pete the cat books but this one has a supspensful finish in finding out who stole the cupcakes that Pete and Gus have made for the cupcake party. They find clues but will that help Pete and his friends who took the cupcakes before the party starts? #ucflae3414su19
This MF book is about the famous Pete the Cat! It would make for a great RA or S for younger readers. In this adventure Pete makes cupcakes for a party but notices that the cupcakes go missing. He and Gus start noticing clues left behind as to who took them, and they go about asking their friends. In the end, after a friendly conversation there‘s enough cupcakes for everyone! #UCFLAE3414SU19

A fun Animal Fantasy book, TS's include S, AS, RT, GR and CR. The book goes through the day of Pete's adventure of figuring out who keeps stealing the cupcakes for the cupcake party. With clues of who keeps stealing the cupcakes, Pete will eventually discover the culprit behind this. This story is great for younger children, and has some counting elements to it.
I loved this F story about Pete the cat solving the mystery of who ate the missing cupcakes. The moral of the story is forgiveness and I love that for kids. It's colorful and rhymes, making it an engaging read. I'll be reading more Pete the Cat stories after this one. Check out Pete the Cat's website for some videos to go along with the books http://www.petethecatbooks.com #UCFLAE3414SU17
I really love Pete the Cat, I do. He's so cute and he's so cool, but as these stories are cranked out, they have lost their charm. Pete's not all that cool any more (Magic Sunglasses is the last time he was in my opinion), the rhymes and songs are clunky, and the stories seem forced. :( I still love him, but I miss Four Groovy Buttons Pete. Maybe the Deans can re-read the Litwin-penned books for inspiration?
This Pete the Cat F book is geared towards K-2 students, with many exciting rhymes and use of capitalized phrases. In this book, Pete and his friend Gus try to find out who is stealing the cupcakes by looking at clues. A math lesson and a party all in one.
