Stopped by one of my favourite bookshops on the weekend and could leave empty handed. Excited to start this one next!
For #WildWednesday here are 2 books about the Egyptian revolution in 2011: Life from Cairo and the City Always Wins (both happened to come out within a few weeks of each other and I'm ECSTATIC to read both) and Broken Sleep a supposed "Pynchon-esque" saga following a man diagnosed with Leukemia who discovers his mother isn't his birth mother- and he needs a donor.

Fantastic debut novel chronicling the Egyptian Arab Spring uprising. Through the book, you follow the urgency of the protests from the POV of two young activists while also following the family of a young martyr. The book does a great job of giving the reader a micro and macro view.
