TheAromaofBooks @Fantasy_bookworm - I did - my husband said we would start with the original trilogy, so we watched A New Hope. It's funny because of course I have seen soooo much Star Wars stuff over the ages & have a vague idea of what goes down, but honestly didn't know any of the details, so I was on the edge of my seat! Doescher is a talented poet and playwright and always masterfully adapts these stories, throwing in humorous sections throughout (a monologue comparing the original trilogy to the new; riffing on Dickens titles, writing BB8's bleeps in code). When you've got four audiobooks due at the library within two and three days of each other, you're not listening to much else at work. 😂

I'll be honest, I liked The Force Awakens well enough. But I liked this so much more. I think this one's my favorite.

I get that, worrying about a movie's run time there's a lot that can get sacrificed for time. But I was truly impressed with how much more character depth this retelling provided. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @GeekGrl82 I‘m the original trilogy, yes! R2D2 had dialogue, and played kind of a Puck-like role in the story. So far BB8 just has beeps and I‘m kind of disappointed, but maybe that will change as I go along, I just started this one this afternoon. 7y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @GeekGrl82 I definitely recommend them on audio, check your library too, they may have them. I originally found them on Scribed, but I didn‘t stay with that service and instead bought them on audible. It‘s read by a full cast just like a Shakespearean play. 7y
