Book 2 in the Love & Gelato series and an enjoyable read. 💚
I loved how this book was all about Addie's journey, her character development, rather than a love story. The romance was just hinted at, hardly there at all. I actually wish the book had been longer. When I got to the end, it felt like it was just beginning.
So happy we also get a story for Addie! The sibling bond between her and Ian is so well-crafted, and their mishap filled road trip is just the best. #yalit #yaromance
Okay you probably can‘t see it much but my August bookspin list is ready!how is it august I‘ll never know! 😆 I want to do some serious reading this month and get caught up on my Litsy love once again.
A quick read - quite enjoyable, but predictable and rather boring. Not my favorite :)
Two books I‘ve read with “luck” in the title! 🍀

Love & Luck is the type of book that gets better as you go. I liked it way more at the end than I did at the beginning. I included a couple of my favorite parts of the book. Though they did show up towards the end, I do wish we got to see more of Lina & Ren from Love & Gelato.
I finished this audiobook on 8/31, but didn't get around to posting until now. It was just a bad workweek last week. Thank goodness for a 3 day weekend now. This is book 2 in the trilogy and I enjoyed it. It takes place in Ireland and there isn't a romance involved in this story. It is more about a girl getting over a relationship and her getting back her friendship with her brother while they take an unexpected road trip with a new friend.
This was such a sweet story! I love that the sibling relationship, not the romance, was central, and I love the Irish setting. If you like YA, this is a quick and satisfying read. ♥️🍀
Just the book I needed to read after a lot of heavy material. Light, comforting, and funny, this was a joy to read even up to the early hours of morning. I love Jenna Evans Welch. I can't believe I let myself be talked out of reading Love & Gelato!
⭐: 4
A bit of light reading to end the week. Going backwards with this series. Started with Love & Olives, now it's time for Love & Luck. 🍀😊
Love & Luck was disappointing—on its own, and as a sequel to Love & Gelato. Addie's secret isn't revealed until very late in the narrative, and then isn't given its due (Ian's reaction becomes understandable, but the overall weight given to the secret is lacking).
Overall the entire story was painfully drawn out with insufficient payoff at the end.
Here's my #bookspin list! Basically a bunch of books for my personal challenges that I've been procrastinating on. I'm excited to try the #bookspinbingo. Since I've only been participating for one month, any extra spaces will be books from my June list.

Options for book 44
1) Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
2) You Don‘t Live Here by Robyn Schneider
3) Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone
4) Where the Forest Meet the Stars by Glenda Vanderah
5) 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
This a little predictable but cut. I liked that it focused on a brother sister relationship and not romance.
I enjoyed this cute YA book. It wasn‘t as good as her first one, but still fun. I like how she incorporates different countries into her writing. She has a way of really@making you feel like you are there with the characters.
4/5 stars. This book was quirky and adorable. But i felt like the lead up to the big reveal that they hint at the entire book, was not handled the best. I also did not realize that the main characters best friend has her own book that came before this book!
This has been on my #tbr for ages, and I think it's finally time for me to dig in! I'm really looking forward to some #SummerLove in Ireland. #SongsOfSummer

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED this book! This follows Addie which is the best friend from Lina the main character from Love & Gelato! She is in Ireland with all her family at an aunt‘s destination wedding! Things happen and we meet new characters and follow them through many adventures in Ireland! I just loved everything about this book! I shed a tear or two in some parts and laughed in others.. I can‘t wait for her next book! #theunreadshelfproject2019
I enjoyed this sequel to Love and Gelato. I read both books with my HS daughter. Lots of issues to talk through in both stories.
A couple of months ago I got accepted into the British Library and Libraries Connected mentoring program; today I finally got to meet my mentor! We spent all morning talking libraries and personal goals over multiple cups of coffee 📚☕️ As an immigrant, it feels amazing to be making strides and gaining more experience! I definitely deserve this super over-the-top bubble bath and sweet summer romance 💕
This has been on my TBR since it came out. I loved her first book (whose characters make cameos) I‘m glad I finally read it. What a fun YA book. I breezed through this quickly. This book also offers some good discussion points for talking with teens.
Time to travel to Ireland... I love when the story takes place in a different country... I learn soooo much through reading.... Maybe one day I will visit Ireland 🤷🏻♀️....

Finding a book with a #shamrock on its cover was about as hard as finding a real four leaf clover. #literaryluck
Thanks so much for the unexpected #jbmail @Kdgordon88 ! I did want to read this one, and it almost arrived exactly on St. Patrick‘s Day! 🍀 (decorative owl sold separately) 😆
This has been on my TBR for way too long! I really enjoyed the first in this series, Love & Gelato, and I need to get on this one! #LuckyYou #LiteraryLuck

Day 14: Be My Valentine
Our Valentine‘s tradition is going to the bookstore and getting a new book...or two. These were my choices this year.

I loved this book! I don't *enjoy* crying while reading, but I know it's a good book if it makes me cry.
Book 2 in a series, but could totally stand alone. YA but despite the title, not a romance. The story focused around a close brother-sister duo who are each coming into their own and struggling with some things. A very clean story but dealt with the hard topic that needs to be included regarding current social issues in a technology driven era. I loved that while Addie is the little sister she is the one in-the-know with car maintenance.
