Surprisingly, after my allergy attack last night, I sat here and finished this entire book. It was fantastic, utterly inspiring and uplifting! I did not know what a great person she is and she is aware that many people may misjudge her. Life is filled with treats and surprises for those of us who voraciously read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jess7 The answer was her voice. But I guessed her legs because she is so petite which I reasoned were like Tiny Tim‘s little legs and a nanny goat‘s legs. It didn‘t dawn on me that she would be referring to her voice! 6y

PenguinInFlight She‘s really fascinating. My grandpa LOVED classic country, and as a young bookworm I devoured all the biographies he had of them. Loretta Lynn, Dolly, Johnny Cash, and George Jones are a few that I remember. He liked to read, but read very slowly, as he had to leave school in the 4th grade and get a job because his father died and his mother sent all the boys away, keeping only their baby sister. (It was the Great Depression.) He was always so 6y

Jess7 I‘ve heard her be interviewed before and I thought she seemed really kind. I think I heard somewhere about charity work she does behind the scenes without recognition and that her partner hasn‘t been publicly photographed with her or something like that bc he wants to maintain his privacy and she respects that. 6y

I‘m no expert on Dolly or her music (I do love “Jolene”), but I‘m a fan of her positive energy, support for literacy, and voice (in every sense of the word). I kept hearing this audiobook was sweet and delightful, and yup, it is! 💖
