Sinner
Sinner | Maggie Stiefvater
Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. found. Cole St. Clair has come to California for one reason: to get back Isabel Culpeper. She fled from his damaged, drained life, and damaged and drained it even more. He doesn't just want her. He needs her. lost. Isabel is trying to build herself a life in Los Angeles. It's not really working. She can play the game as well as all the other fakes. But what's the point? What is there to win? sinner. Cole and Isabel share a past that never seemed to have a future. They have the power to love each other and the power to tear each other apart. The only thing for certain is that they cannot let go. Praise for the New York Times bestselling Shiver trilogy: * "Beautiful and moving." -- School Library Journal, starred review * "A lyrical tale of alienated werewolves and first love . . . [Stiefvater's] take on werewolves is interesting and original." -- Publishers Weekly, starred review "Beautifully written, even poetic at times, and a perfect indulgence for readers of all ages." -- Bookpage

I have had this book since....2015? Soon after it came out, but before the Raven Boys Tarot deck was published. I finally read it though! I loved it, and I‘m glad I waited because it gave me time to reread the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy and understand what I was reading. I miss Grace and Sam, but I love Cole and Isabel. 5/5

TheAromaofBooks I'm in LOVE with that cover!!!! Even though this series is a little more angsty than I usually like, I really enjoyed them a lot. 3y
MsRadioSilence @TheAromaofBooks My aunt ( @MidnightBookGirl ) took me to a signing with Stiefvater and Gayle Forman and I just had to get it lol it‘s so pretty!! 3y
TheAromaofBooks I got editions with the original covers for the first three books (the silhouette covers - I LOVE them!) but Sinner is its own thing that doesn't match the others so I have never gotten around to getting a copy haha But that one is fantastic! My sister & I saw Stiefvater when she was on her tour for All the Crooked Saints. She was such an interesting & personable speaker. 3y

Finished: Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater

Maybe I'm a bit biased because Stiefvater is, easily one of my favorite authors, but I was pretty pleased with Sinner. It was a lovely little wrap up to the series, though it did lack the in-depth conflict of the first three.

Listening to Sinner and diamond painting kit.

GloVerdino I did one of those things, so addicting! 5y
MidnightBookGirl @GloVerdino it's perfect for audiobook listening! 5y
CrowCAH Woah that looks super tedious! I like crafting and audiobooking! 5y
AutumnRLS I love diamond painting! The only way I can catch up on all my true crime and bookish podcasts. 5y

⭐️⭐️⭐️
I found this to be one of the more enjoyable books in the series, but it didn‘t feel like it was part of it at all. It felt more like a chick lit book, rather than a paranormal romance. I liked the new take around the werewolf aspect - that Cole equated it to drug abuse, but again, it didn‘t feel like it was part of the series. I really connected with these characters more so than I did with the main cast in the original trilogy.

I haven't read this book only because I don't want to say goodbye to this world.
The wolves of mercy falls is one of the first YA I ever read and made Maggie one of my top 3 fave authors ever.
Who's your fave author?

📚📚📚
#wolvesofmercyfalls #bookpics #ya #romance

Jamesfahyauthor Don't think I could choose just one favourite author. Depends on the book and the mood I'm in. Gaiman is one of my favourite contemporaries though 👍🏼 haven't read this one, will addd to my tbr 👍🏼 7y
alba_bookpics @Jamesfahyauthor I don't have one fave but top faves by genre definitely. I've never read anything by him but I've been told he's good. 🤓 Yay! Although this is a spinoff stand-alone. 7y

This was the last #wolves book I read. Cole is a secondary character in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but he was my favorite and I'm glad he got his own story! #JuneTunz @Cinfhen

Cinfhen It's amazing how many series I've NEVER heard of before joining Litsy!!! #SoManyBooksSoLittleTime 7y
398.2 I just thinking about starting this series. Do you like it? 7y
Jovy @Cinfhen I know! I've added so many new books since I joined 😄 7y
Jovy @398.2 I read the series early, when I first got into the whole YA genre. It was good but I've read better ones since. I do love Cole and Isabel (more than the MCs)! Plus Maggie writes very well. Need to start her Raven Cycle series soon. 7y

Before I started reading I was a bit worried that Sinner would let down the Shiver trilogy but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a wonderful continuation of the Shiver series that focussed on two of my favourite characters, Cole and Isabel. Rather than being caught up in the werewolf side Maggie Stiefvater focussed on the characters. I strongly recommend it

MrBook Cool cover! And nice review! And welcome to @Litsy ! We hope you enjoy your stay. 😊👍🏻 7y
