This was a fun, scary and thrilling trilogy that I truly enjoyed.
But with that ending, I'm going to need this to be a tetralogy.
Thank you for your consideration.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

bumpinthenight Ah I loved these books - the fan fiction written was also really interesting, there were a few following books that came with Crouch‘s blessings. 1mo
DavidDiamond @bumpinthenight Oh, that's interesting! I think I'll hold out for the day when Crouch decides to write that 4th book. One can dream! 😁 1mo

Blake Crouch definitely knows how to leave you on a cliffhanger! I saw that he's "open" to writing a 4th book, but that epilogue made me need another part to Ethan's story.
Also, having lived in Idaho for 25 years, it really is an apt setting for the last town on earth. The world building was incredible. I soared through the last two books in less than a day.
I made Lucas start reading the first book so we could talk about it because ???

This final installment of Wayward Pines was fast-paced and well written, like the others. I can't say much, because what I'd like to say would contain spoilers, and I'm not a spoiler kind of woman.

And with this, all my started but unfinished series have been completed! Now I can start new ones in the New Year!

This book took a wild turn. It is both a horror novel, while being real at its foundation. It‘s about humanity, and our underlying values. Crouch often deals with good intentions going bad, and the human condition and it‘s need to survive. This earlier piece is more obvious in its attempts, but still enjoyable.

This book did not go the way I expected. Like at all. It was at once more violent and more kindhearted than expected. I almost with there was a fourth boom to see how things end…but I also don‘t & want to leave it to my imagination.

I enjoyed the Wayward Pines trilogy. Ethan has told the town the truth, the towns creator, David, unleashes a horror upon the town, - Ethan and the town must survive and figure out how to move forward . I enjoyed the 2nd book the most ,it explored citizens lives more, books 1 and 2 Ethan running a lot (1st from the citizens, 3rd from the creatures). Ending to the trilogy is very satisfying!

Oh my goodness, this was one of my favorite last books to a trilogy I‘ve ever read. It was fast paced from the onset, and it answered all my questions as to why some some characters were even chosen for suspended animation. I realize now this is an old series, but lucky me, I only learned of it in 2023 and was able to binge the whole thing in less than 2 weeks! Ann Patchett says if it‘s a new book to you, it‘s new - yep!

CoverToCoverGirl Great review! 🧡 2y
marleed @CoverToCoverGirl Typically when I read an older book/series it‘s because it‘s been on my TBR for years. It really was fun to discover this entire series this year - and be rewarded with a binge experience! 2y
CoverToCoverGirl Great things come to those who accidentally wait! Especially when it pertains to a completed book series. A happy surprise. I love it when that happens. 2y

Wow, what an amazing writer Blake Crouch is. This whole.series was amazing and edge of your seat engaging. What a brilliant dystopian novel series that asked hard questions about what our world could look like in the future. Excellent.

Suuuuper happy with the entire Wayward Pines trilogy. This “last” book was wonderful. Thrilling, thought provoking, and even quite humorous. I‘m a big fan of this Blake Crouch. He‘s just a master at what he does. Can‘t wait to read more from him.
This was supposedly the last book of this series.. but SOMETHING tells me we might see more of Ethan Burke someday! I sure hope so at least. 🧡🌲

A rush of an ending to the Wayward Pines trilogy, this book picks up immediately from the action in book 2 and barrels forward at breakneck speed. I found the ending clever and satisfying. I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who would enjoy a mystery/sci-fi/horror mashup.

First Contact is Part One of The Genesis Series, a planned trilogy of novellas set in the early days of Blake Crouch's Wayward Pines.

Do you like action boarding on horror with a touch of drama? If so this is it. This is the third book in the Wayward Pines trilogy and I read them all back to back. I don‘t usually do that but I had to know what happens next. All three of these books kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend checking them out.

I rarely ever finish a series, and it is unheard of for me to read two books from a series back to back. I had to know how it ended though, so I whipped through this one in 24 hours. Blake Crouch is definitely a must read author for me now. His books have a sci fi element that‘s not typically my thing, but somehow he draws me in. #ripxii book 9

Reviewsbylola But for real, I need a fourth book. I need to know what happened! 7y

Mehso-so

The first book in this trilogy was really gripping, the second I didn't enjoy at all, and this was...meh. I gotta say though, Crouch is great for book slumps (I'm not currently in one - this is just as a rec if you are and need something to read). He writes in a way that propels you forward, and I always find his plot-driven stories to be a quick read. Another knocked off the #TBRbingo!

This was absolutely one of the best trilogies I have ever read. I read all three books in less than a week because I just couldn't put them down. Without giving too much away, this is the story of a few hundred people who are the last of humanity. It is set about 2000 years in the future. I'm going to be hard-pressed to find anything to read next because this was just that good.
