My library loan came in and I got to reread this childhood favorite for the holidays! 🙌 I can‘t recommend this edition highly enough! The words are familiar to me, but I didn‘t grow up with these Jim LaMarche illustrations and they‘re so full of life! The characters faces are really expressive, the shoes in the shop are creative… it all pulls you into the fable like you were really there. #WinterGames2021 #TeamGameSleighers

I have fond childhood memories of this story. I‘m hoping my library hold comes in early enough that I can actually reread it this holiday season, but for today I‘ll have to settle for a cover shot. @StayCurious

I really don‘t know how I‘ve missed this Grimm fairy tale all these years. This version was delightfully illustrated.
