This is the story of Red and Lulu, a cardinal couple who get separated when the tree they live in is chosen as the Rockefeller tree one Christmas - Lulu is in the tree when it‘s hauled away! Will Red find her?? 💔😢🎄#ChristmasMiracle #HolidayRomanceBingo #WinterReadathon #Bookspinbingo
Part 3 of the Marco Polo marathon! The tagged book is a gorgeous story with delicate illustrations. By far my favourite if this batch of reads #wintergames #thefilthyanimals

Just read this to my three-year-old, and he was very engaged. He was very invested in what happened to Red and Lulu. He is going to look for them when we see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree this week.
Reading to my son at our library while my daughter is at Girl Scouts. I love that I‘m raising readers! #Holidaybooks #RockefellerCenter #ChristmasTree
#WinterWonderland Day 1: This book instantly provides the #December spirit. There is a cinematic feel to the narrative that is practically begging to be made into a film. It is a story of lost loves, a home that is carelessly taken and uprooted without warning, and finding one‘s way back to lights and love. I also loved reading about the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, and its annual lighting. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-gT6
3⭐️ This is beautiful, but also sad. A cardinal lives in a beautiful tree. One day while out for food, the tree is cut down and sent to NYC to become the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. The birds find each other again, but at the end of the season are once again homeless. Not a book I shall be adding to my christmas shelf any time soon.
Five stars for the art, three for the story. The art is magical, and the story is well told, but it‘s a little sad. The birds tree home is cut down to become the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, and they are separated for a time. Also, they are forced to make a new home because their old one is gone. It ends on a happy-ish note, but it bothered me.
What a beautiful book!!! A seemingly simple story about two birds and a tree that will tug at your heartstrings. The art is unbelievably gorgeous. A must have for every holiday collection.
We try to minimize Santa, and sometimes straight-up Nativity books get dull. So when I find a beautiful, general Christmas book, I‘m so excited!
Red and Lulu are two cardinals who live in an evergreen tree until it gets chopped down with Lulu still inside. Red chases the truck toward NYC, but will he ever find Lulu again??
With stunning illustrations and a sweetly suspenseful story, RED AND LULU is destined to be a new Christmas classic!
