Got a fun idea from @BBL4nkensh1p : I wrote the title of every book I own but haven‘t read yet on a slip of paper. The idea is to pull a slip out when I finish a book and read it next. I also added some “Buy a New Book” slips in there too for fun. Instead of using a jar or vase but a friend suggested I use one of the many book boxes I own instead. So here is my To Be Read Book Box!

Erinsuereads This is awesome! 6y
Shibbyfruitfly Right? I‘m so excited! I‘m sure I‘ll be adding more slips as new books are released but who can blame me? 😜 6y
ReadingSusan This is such a good idea! 6y

So my next book will be number 100 of the year so far....

I‘d love for all my Litten friends to help me choose! As my TBR shelves are groaning I think it should be one of those, and a real book, not Kindle.

Here‘s pic one of the shelves, pic two to follow. You might need to screen grab and zoom to see....

One Litten who nominated the book I eventually choose will get a bookish prize! Open to all.

wanderinglynn One of my faves popped out on your shelves: 6y
Sarah83 I would choose this one. ☺️ I still have to buy this for my own library 6y

Cathythoughts Even screenshotted it‘s hard for me to see ... do I see Portrait of a Lady , H James there. ? I was going to reread that soon. Or ... I see a couple of Sebastian Faulks there ❤️. Or The Immortal Life of ... or Wuthering Heights! Now I can‘t choose either. ....... ok 6y
Bronte_Chintz I would say this one, because it‘s in my TBR pile and I‘ve heard such good things. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa You haven‘t read The Hunger Games yet? Read that, and be prepared to go get book 2 and read it right after. So good, I couldn‘t put those down when I read them. 6y
emilyhaldi I can't read the title of the Persephone on the top shelf but it gets my vote! 💕 6y
Bookworm54 This is soooo much better than the film, and a nice quick read to dive into :) 6y
squirrelbrain @Cathythoughts - sorry it‘s hard to see, but you‘re right with everything you spotted! 6y
youneverarrived I think I spot a Murakami book there..if so I‘d recommend that! He‘s one of my favourites. 6y
BarbaraBB So many good ones. If you want it to be an easy read, I‘d go for A Spell of Winter. If it can be a chunkster, read A Suitable Boy, it‘s worth every page 😍💕😘 6y
Caroline2 Well I think you should read this as I‘m dying to read it too and we could do a buddy read!!! 😉 6y
Crewgurl The is such an amazing book, I can see why it ended up on the great American read! 6y
squirrelbrain Thanks @caroline2 for nominating . It‘s high up on my TBR list so maybe we should do a buddy read.... 6y
squirrelbrain @Bronte_Chintz - Half of a Yellow Sun is high up on my list but I only read Americanah last week, so wanted a different author..... 6y
squirrelbrain @VeganCleopatra - Testament of Youth is very high up on my list, as it‘s the last one I need for the Litsy Reading Challenge, but I decided to go with Hunger Games as it‘s a bit of an ‘easier‘ read.... 6y
Bronte_Chintz @squirrelbrain Ah makes perfect sense! Everyone loves variety! 💖 6y
squirrelbrain @BarbaraBB I really do need to get round to reading A Suitable Boy as I think it‘s been on my shelf the longest. You have inspired me, but I know if I‘d have picked it for book 100, I would have read another book in between times....! 6y
BarbaraBB You‘re right, I would read other books in between as well! 6y

Requesting help from the #hive mind, so please share. I received this poster of scratch off 100 Essential Books for my birthday. I want to display it and still be able to continue scratching off books as I read. Does anyone know of a type of frame that works? Who has this poster and what is your solution? Thanks for any and all ideas!

DGRachel I would just suggest finding a frame you like and removing the glass/acrylic. You may need to mount the poster to the backing, but it should stay in the frame and you can easily access it to scratch off books. Save the glass and install it when you are done. 7y
GingerAntics Some stores sell just these plastic things you can slip on the edges (not sure why). The edges of your poster would be protected, but everything else would be vulnerable. I think your best bet is to mount to the back of the frame as suggested by @DGRachel. I‘ve even had some poster frames that were too big for my actual posters that I‘ve had to do that will anyway. Definitely safe the glass/acrylic and put it on when done. It will look wonderful. 7y
