If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee
Things would seem fair,-
Yet they'd all despair,
For if here was there
We wouldn't be we.

Seeker of Truth by e.e. cummings
Almost forgot to post today‘s poem and just got it with a half hour to spare. 😉
The first few lines of my favorite poem “about” spring, this image of them borrowed from The Poetry Foundation‘s archive. Cummings is much darker than he‘s sometimes given credit for. 📚☔️📚☔️📚☔️

This poem makes me think of Circe. And vice versa. Anyone else?
Another gem on #love, by Cummings. #poetrymatters @LazyDays
I couldn‘t find this specific book on here!!! e.e. cummings is one of my favorite poets, along with TS Eliot. There is something about his style that just completely speaks to me!!
He has said he is influenced by Amy Lowell and Gertrude Stein. #agameoffavorites #poetry #eecummings @ErinSueG

Just finished this #chunkster for this month's poet with 30m to spare!😁 #poetrychallenge2018 @Natasha.C.Barnes
I have learned that I absolutely adore certain poems by cummings, especially earlier ones, but overall he's not a fave. I believe my next poet is Marianne Moore, whom cummings wrote a poem to /about.

E. E. Cummings' l(a ❤One of my favorite poems by one of my favorite poets to begin #nationalpoetrymonth
Not my favorite book of #poetry, but pretty good! I liked some poems and disliked some as well. #eecummings #poems
i'm not sure i could choose one favorite E.E. Cummings poem (i 😻 him so much), but i think this one is the best example of what it might be like to have a grasshopper bouncing around inside your head 😸#augustphotochallenge #day19 #poetry
