I‘ve not read this, but I‘m guessing the brothel owner protagonist was packing some heat. What madame doesn‘t have a #revolver at the ready? 😆 #movember

Good writing, well researched, fun fictionalization. I was hoping for a little more at the end though.

I like to read about places I'll be visiting. If anyone has any suggestions (fiction or non) for New Orleans please let me know! I'll be going at the end of the month and have had a hard time finding stuff that sounds good 😳 This is my current reads I'm enjoying it so far.

Swe_Eva If you are in the mood for a Katrina-read (it's not a "fun" read, obviously), I highly recommend 6y
AustenJennings John Kennedy Toole‘s A Confederacy of Dunces is fantastic and Tim Gautreaux‘s The Missing is dope. 6y
Bookish_B @Swe_Eva thank you! 6y

The latest book club choice. I feel like I should drape all the lamps with scarves for proper mood lighting and lounge seductively on the couch while I read this.
