This was done in the style of a radio drama. Very well done. Both heartwarming and sad.

I enjoyed the audio performance for this short audible original about the Christmas truce during WWI.

Another short Audible Original title. Well done and enjoyable, though I struggled to keep the different British narrators straight (the different characters did start to blend together). Depicts the famous Christmas celebration enjoyed by British, French, and German soldiers in the trenches.

I love history, and this story of the Christmas truce during WWI was short, but impactful. +146 #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders #Winterathon (2 Bingos!!) #ChristmasSpiritReadathon #BookspinBingo #LittenListen #CrushtheRush #ReadYourWay #ChristmasReadathon #TheBookDemocracyBingo

This was a pretty solid audio book/play from audible. If anything, it was too brief and doesn‘t allow the listener enough time with the soldiers to care about them. It‘s also focused on just the British troops. If you really want something that goes deeper on this subject and which is much more gripping , I heavily recommend watching the movie Joyeux Noel.

My second listen to this excellent Audible production telling about the brief peace between the Tommies and the Jerries during WWI to celebrate Christmas. Be prepared for a tear or two. #holidayread

marleed Oh, one of my favorite Christmas movies is the 2005 Joyeux Noel about the WWI Christmas Day ceasefire. 5y

Short story of WWI soldiers on Christmas Eve. The power of music helps create a truce with the German soldiers for the Christmas holiday. Excellent narration and production. #MountTBR

This was an audible original, so I'm not surprised it's not in the database. It was very well acted. As far as plots go, I didn't find it particularly well-written, but I cared about the characters. I think I would have liked it more if I hadn't already known about this happening. It's only about an hour and 15 minutes long
