#FeelinTheLove
A good #CrazyLove quote:
“I didn't want the easy kind of love, I wanted the crazy love, the kind of love that created and destroyed all at the same time.”
I haven‘t read this book but I have read a couple of others from this author.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Murphy very effectively creates a main character who is mean and manipulative with others, using a cancer diagnosis as an excuse to get the last word. Where it falls down is that the character‘s redemption is unconvincing and rushed, just leaving the reader with a bad taste, #ReadYourEbooks
Trying to read while my husband wrestles with the washing machine.
Some swearing and a YouTube video later, the operation was deemed a success.
Another good book by Julie Murphy! Not your typical teenager love story. I enjoy that there is a lot about learning to live with the consequences of your actions, seeing as Alice causes quite a stir when she believed that she was dying from cancer. Would recommend this read ❤️
Yeah...didn‘t love it. I feel like I‘m supposed to think Alice redeems herself, but...I don‘t. I do enjoy Julie Murphy‘s writing, but these characters just fell really flat for me. 🤷🏻♀️ #sideeffectsmayvary #juliemurphy
I‘m honestly not sure how I feel about this one yet, and I‘m on page 210. On the one hand, I do feel for Alice, but on the other, she‘s...not very likable. Is she supposed to be, and I‘m just judging too harshly? #sideeffectsmayvary #juliemurphy
#SeptemberSins #SecretLove Alice and Harvey are best friends, and Harvey stays by Alice's side while she's dealing with cancer. Harvey secretly loves Alice.

Just finished vacay book 2. This was really good. It has all of the feels. I love this author.
Having a hard time really getting into this one even 28% into it and there are so many good books in the world so back to the library this one goes! 5.5 hours into #24B4Monday
Yesterday‘s book was hard to get through so there‘s really no chance I‘m gonna get to 24 hours. I‘m gonna try to reach halfway through this thing though!! Just hit the 5 hour mark!
Alice is a normal teenager just living her life when she is given the news that no one wants to hear. She has cancer. When she is given a year to live she has her own version of a bucket list that she does with her friend Harvey. But when she goes to the doctor and finds out she is in remission she doesn't know what to do with her life when she was thinking that she was going to die. I need Julie Murphy to write more book ASAP!!!
I loved this story about a girl finding herself after a terrifying diagnosis. Overcoming her fears and finally letting herself love. I found it relatable and inspiring. Love Julie Murphy!
Recently read Dumplin‘ and LOVED IT! So I was really excited when I saw this for $2 at the library bookstore!
I have mixed feelings about this book so far, but this just struck me.
I finished this book a few days ago but I forgot to post! What a great book! I love Julie Murphy‘s style of writing! So real, so relatable! Love Julie Murphy!!
Wow this book has me hooked! Julie Murphy really puts emotion into her books while staying true to teenage angst! Love love loving this!!
Didn‘t mean to read a whole book today. Very glad I did though. Julie Murphy is a gift.
This was a pick because I love Murphy‘s writing but a so-so on the main character - she is not likeable and treats her on/off boyfriend like dirt. Eventually she comes good and there is a nice happy ending, but it was hard to root for her when really I wanted to tell him to run for the hills!! Of course that was the whole point of her growth story though, so yes, well done.
Starting on this beauty because I loved Dumplin‘ and also because I should be reading my book club choice, which I know will be great, but I might not be at the get together, so might as well read something else first!
Snuggie ✅ Book ✅ Cup of tea ✅
Alice is a sophomore in HS. When diagnosed with leukemia she intends to carry out all items on her "list" (bucket), many of which she later regrets when her cancer is in remission...
Loved this one ALMOST as much as I loved Dumplin' (also, of course, by Julie Murphy).
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a great book, I really enjoyed the plot and has the author wrote it.
I really didn't like Alice. She was so hard to relate to and I wasn't a fan of how she treated everyone around especially Harvey. She grew up with him and she knew he was in love with her and used it against him to get what she wanted. Granted Harvey should have stood up to her but he was a fool in love. She barely redeems herself towards the end but for me it was too late. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
When Alice is diagnosed with leukemia, her prognosis is grim. To maximize the time she does have, she vows to spend her final months righting wrongs. She convinces her friend Harvey to help her with a crazy bucket list that's as much about revenge as it is about hope. But just when Alice's scores are settled, she goes into remission. Now she's forced to face the consequences of all that shes done, as well as her true feelings for Harvey.

Then he left, and with him he took the sun, the moon, and stars, and everything inside of me that might have been good .
I got this from the library because I loved Dumplin so much. I thought it was a little disappointing but I liked the rotating narrators and the different timelines, but really just did not enjoy the main character,
Not gonna lie, the reviews made me want to hate this, but I kind of (really) love reading such an unlikable character.
I enjoyed the journey and the revenge fantasies played out by a sick (literally, sick. With cancer) high school girl, Alice, along with one sweet gesture. But the way she used Harvey enraged me. I hated her for it. The way he accepted it bothered me, too. But overall, it was a well written YA book.
