11 years ago this group of ladies came together to put together a production of steel magnolias and we walked away family... yesterday we got to spend the afternoon reconnecting and making new memories! #theatreislife

AsYouWish @AkashaVampie Yes, I have. It is really good, I believe it is the exact same plot maybe even script. Only difference is the race of the characters. @Butterfinger From my small bit of research it is based on a real story, the author wrote it about his sister. 4y

Okay, so, remembering “Steel Magnolias” here—not a book, but a play followed by a movie that did more to illustrate the friendships of women on screen than any other movie since “The Women” (1939 version). We need literature & plays & movies like these to acknowledge, affirm, & celebrate the beauty & the singularity of the bonds between women friends. ♥️
