#24in48 Hour 30 Challenge: Favorite Series
I love a good series. I have all the usual favorites. Outlander, Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, Inkheart, etc. But the Sookie Stackhouse books have gotten me through some low times. I reread them periodically, and they always seem to pick me up.

One of my first urban fantasy series I got into. I enjoyed most of the books and got super excited when the TV series came out. The TV series wasn't a disappointment it was just something I had to be like, "ok... Its different."
I never finished the TV series (forgot which season I stopped at) and didn't read the last book. Why didn't I read it? I found out how it ended and didn't want read it. I was quite disappointed with how the character grew.
I am so late to the party with these but I just started reading book one about a week ago and I‘m obsessed! So much so that I started buying up used copies rights away! I have these books so far with some more in the mail! 😆 I love Charlaine Harris‘ homey, southern tinged writing and Sookie is just the best! I‘m gonna eat these up 🧛♂️ #vampire

There are so many #fictionbestfriends to choose from. Those from childhood Heidi and Anne; the girls of the babysitters club; Ramona. But in thinking of a fun best friend that I know could confide in, sit around and read books with and have kickass adventures I thought of Sookie Stackhouse. I devoured these books on my first maternity leave and have a soft spot for Sookie. #fictionalbestfriend #uncannyoctober

I know this is a tv series, not #betterinthemovie. Anna Paquin made Sookie Stackhouse so much more like able for me. I could not get past the third book because Sookie drove me crazy in the books, but I throughly enjoyed watching True Blood. #likedthecharacterbetter #octphotochallenge
so-soThis series was so amazing and then lost it's way towards the end. It became so repetitive, with Sookie buying stamps,shaving her legs, & making casserole. The action was bleh and Eric (the most bad ass vamp in the series) was ruined! It should've ended sooner.
