A family on our softball team lost their son in February. He was full term, but his eyes never got to open outside of his mother's womb. Tonight was our first game and we were able to present these decals for our helmets and dedicate our season to their sweet son! The weekend was too short. Today has sucked. But I'm finally stealing a few moments of peace waiting on my girls to get out of school. The clean, crisp feel of unturned pages and that new book smell makes any Monday better.
I'm struggling with this book as the author really lets the main characters inner voice shine through. I'm someone who prefers complete and coherent sentences. But it's intriguing and I can't seem to walk away from it! Add a warm blanket, the NBA playoffs in the background, my husband whisper-cheering and it's a pretty nice Friday night. 📚❤👫
