November is my “cozy mystery” reading month and I‘m super excited about it! So far I‘ve read/listened to a couple of Stephanie Plum books, an Agatha Raisin, and now I‘m listening to a Jana DeLeon while I work. I do love cozy mysteries!

This story of a CIA assassin hiding from arms dealers in small town Louisiana was tons of fun. While there, Fortune gets embroiled in a local murder mystery while also trying to avoid outing herself to the entire town. I‘ll definitely read more of these. It was my night book that I finished up on my walk. I also continued to listen to Frankenstein, read by Dan Stevens. #audiowalk
Cute little humourous mystery. Not my favorite genre of books, but a nice change of pace. I'll definitely keep this series in mind for when I need something lighter to read.
Louisiana Longshot was silly fun. CIA Assassin Fortune needs to lay low to avoid a hit that's been taken out on her by Middle Eastern arms dealers. She teams up with the church biddies in Sinful, Louisiana to solve the mystery of a human bone that's found on her “inherited“ property (by her “inherited“ dog). Hijinks ensue.
I loved this cozy-ish murder mystery set in a swampy Louisiana small town. The main character is sassy, plucky, and delightful. She always manages to get herself into a mess. Trouble just follows her like the muddy stench of the bayou on a summer day. It‘s a fast read; easily consumed in an evening or two. I‘m looking forward to the rest of the series. #ReadAlike if you like the Stephanie Plum series, you‘ll love this. This is better in my opinion
Fun mystery! First in a series.
#LouisianaMeetUp this weekend 😸
Who's coming? I'm looking forward to it. @BookFrog is hosting. I don't like driving so my Mother and Aunts may be coming along 🤦🏼♀️ We are meeting at The Weeping Willow Cafe.

"They were good people, strong women, and loyal friends. They'd restored some of my faith in mankind, and it had only cost me a chunk of fake hair and a little embarrassment."
Funny, sweet, easy to read.
Finishing out March with some levity after a few heavy reads. Look how pretty and spring like this cover is! 🌻🌼🌷⚘🌹🌸💐
Lying in bed reading and eating mochi. #luxurylife #womanofleisure This book is goofy, funny, ridiculous, and quite enjoyable. It's written by a local author, which would have come in handy a couple years ago when I did book bingo with that square.
Jana DeLeon covers are always wonderfully #colourful . Great books for a humorous read and a great female lead as well. #colorful #readingresolutions
This is the first book in a series and now I'm anxious to start book number 2. I listened to this as an audio book and loved the narrator of this fun, clever, humorous mystery in the swamps of Louisiana.
I loved this book so much. I have been an avid reader with every following installment and would recommend this series to anyone who loves humor and mystery in a novella.
"Louisiana Longshot" is the first book in a fast, entertaining series. The heroine is a fish out of water and the town's quirky residents are well developed and individual. It's set in small town Louisiana instead of the Burg, but I'm pretty sure anyone who likes Janet Evanovitch's Stephanie Plumb books will enjoy it.
I took a nap in between, but I finished this one a few minutes ago #24in48
"So instead of enticing you with a juicy new read today, I‘m throwing several at you in the form of one of my favorite, most enjoyably fun authors." Jana DeLeon reviewed by Thalia https://goo.gl/mZeHuh
Because I needed to know whether to call the police or help bury the body.
