Last Woman Standing | 
so-soI think, with some rewriting, the book could be stellar. It is written through the eyes of Wyatt Earp's girlfriend, Josephine Marcus. It goes from silliness to expository from chapter to chapter. I enjoyed the nonfiction parts more than the supposed dialogue and action.
Getting out today for #LitsyWalkers was a struggle, but I did it! 👟 I felt run down and achey (think I‘m getting a cold), upon waking. The temp. dipped during the night, & it‘s been grey & foggy with the threat of snow all day. But, I was determined to not miss a day! So, I bundled up, put in headphones & got out there. It was crisp & spitting snow half way through, but I absolutely enjoyed myself & the chapters I listened to in the tagged book.
I love how we get the most beautiful blue skies after snowstorms. My walk today was chilly (25°F), but the sun was shining, and the snow sparkled like diamonds. I‘m more of a podcast than audiobook listener, but I found the tagged book on PRIME, and the synopsis sounded intriguing, so far so good! I‘m so happy the weather was nice today, my walk was just what I needed after being cooped up over the weekend. #LitsyWalkers

I‘m enjoying, to my great surprise, this “western.” I got it because it was a free historical fiction ebook on Amazon but did not expect to like it much since I‘m generally not a reader of westerns (except for notables Lonesome Dove and News of the World). Here a young woman escapes her overbearing mother in California to go marry a bartender in Tombstone, AZ. She will eventually marry Wyatt Earp. Great writing is making it a fun read so far.

Another great line from a Western with a Jewish girl as the main character in wild and rowdy Tombstone. She's hanging out with the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday...before the big shootout at the corral.

I was tired of playing with dolls and I had no desire to be a porcelain princess on a shelf myself.
Loving this read! Lines like this are why. Free with my Amazon Prime, and as I proctor the French competition for middle and high school kiddos at my college, it's hard not to LOL!🤣😂

Reading with a lap full of animals while hubby watches Luke Cage. This book makes me want to rewatch Tombstone.
pickHistorical fiction from POV of Josephine Marcus, who left San Francisco for the Wild West of Tombstone. Takes place in the 1880s during all the gunslinging action there. Fast-paced story on my ebook. A pick, although if it was a hard copy I don't know that I'd keep it on my shelf long-term. I suspect her story was whitewashed a bit in this book, also. New book arrived in the mail today about Josephine Marcus, a strong woman who married Wyatt Earp
Started this historical fiction ebook at the club today. It's from the POV of Josephine Marcus Earp who left her Jewish family for the Wild West, first partnering with Johnny Behan then Wyatt Earp. Oddly enough the woman on the cover doesn't match any pictures online of the real Josephine Earp??!!
Starting this tonight...I visited Tombstone in March, so I hope this book is full of the right kind of ambience
This one came in the mail today (thanks @TLCBookTours for the opportunity to review it). On our last trip to Arizona, I agreed to go to Tombstone ONLY because I knew this book was coming to me!
