Pickpick

I wanted a quick read, so I picked up this graphic novel. It is not my favorite, but it was enjoyable to read. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars. I read this book for #MarvellousMarchReadathon @Andrew65

Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 2y

Out of all the #superheroes, Batman has always been my favorite.

RealBooks4ever I'm a Marvel girl myself, but my daughter likes the DC characters and we live in peace! 😆 7y

I made this today to remind myself it isn't a good idea. 😂😝📚

vivastory Haha. Even worse idea would be to arrange books so no spines are showing, only the pages. 8y
Christinak This made me laugh out loud! Thanks! 📕📙📒📗📘📚 8y
moranadatter I couldn't either, but it's so tempting. The rainbow shelves are serious eye candy. 8y

TheNextBook My friend organized her bookshelf by book height. It drove me insane. 8y
bitterbear @vivastory you are evil ;) 8y
Liberty @kmdartist EXACTLY. It looks so pretty. But my jobs sometimes require being able to lay my hands on a title right away. I can't imagine how much time it would require if I had to hunt through the stacks every time! 8y
Liberty @TheNextBook We need to stage an intervention. 😂 8y
TheNextBook I begged her to let me rearrange them and she liked the way it looked 😔 How can you find anything like that?! 😩 8y
hyacinth My books are currently wherever they can fit on the shelf/floor but I need to organize bc I can't find anything! 😳😳 8y
Liberty @TheNextBook Ah, well. I don't want to judge anyone for arranging their books how they like them. (But seriously, my eyelid is twitching. 😉) 8y
Donna_sBookMinute 😂 I started arranging some of mine by color. 8y
Suzze Mine were perfectly alphabetized until my son gave me an HD t.v. To make room for it I had to take out a 6' bookcase. Now my books are all over, everywhere, I spend way too much time looking for things. 8y
moranadatter I'm in the same boat of needing to find books quickly because of my job. Then, there's the added embarrassment factor of being a library school graduate who can't find a book she owns due to her own terrible organizational scheme. 8y
jpmcwisemorgan I like to do mine alphabetical by author and within genres if I can. However, since my move this summer they are pretty much all over the place. 8y
Yournewfriendsams But it's so pretty! 8y
AlexandraGriffin See I created an excel spreadsheet that, among other info, lists the cover color, so if I choose to do rainbow bookshelves I can still find my books! 8y
Liberty @GriffinAndHerBooks AMAZING. If I could go back in time, I would totally do that. But at 3K and counting, I don't think I have the energy. 😂 8y
Dorianna Asthetically pleasing but so impractical. I would regret that almost immediately. 8y
AlexandraGriffin @Liberty lol literally the only reason I could set up that spreadsheet was a combo of exporting my Goodreads books, and having a suuuuper slow job that allowed me to work on it at work. 8y
Librariana I only have my YA bookcase partially arranged in that fashion for stand-alone titles or duologies that serendipitously/coincidentally have similar spine colors. Series get to stay together in alpha order by author last name 😄😊 8y
Lizpixie @Liberty I compromised and only did my tbr shelves as rainbow, my 2000 other books are all alphabetically & chronologically arranged. That way my inner librarian is happy and I have some pretty shelves to look at as well. 8y
Suet624 I was paid by someone to enter her books and their location into a spreadsheet. So far I've entered 4,000 books into the spreadsheets. They are on bookshelves (so many) and numbered boxes. She says it's been so helpful for her to access her books now. 8y
Amandajoy Mine are arranged by color. You start to memorize the cover colors, I can find most books pretty quick. (But then again I only have four shelves.) I also think moving frequently & packing/unpacking a lot helps. 8y
TheNextBook @Suet624 I want a job like that! I need a job that is completely centered around books. 8y
Suet624 @TheNextBook it's not my full time job. It's just a weekend, pick up some extra cash job. But I am in love every time I'm there - with the house, with the wide variety and beauty of the books. I love it. 8y
Zelma @TheNextBook why did it drive you crazy? Honestly asking. Mine are by height and weight, due to some shelves having more vertical space and some being more sturdy. I don't have a ton of books though, so finding them is not a big deal at all. 8y
Shvonne Mine are organized by size and author. It's not in alphabetical order but I keep authors together. 8y
kiminreverse When mine were by color, I knew where everything was. They're currently just by genre because I started to reorganize and got overwhelmed, and I can't find anything! 8y
TheNextBook @Zelma She didn't have a lot of books on her shelf either but it drove me insane because it looked so unstructured. I'm a stickler when it comes to organizing my own shelves. When I looked at her I imagined what it would like if I tried that and all I saw was chaos and mayhem. 😂 It's just the way I processed her shelves compared to mine. Different strokes for different folks. Easiest for me is alphabetical by author. 8y
MyNamesParadise That is one way I've never been tempted to organize my books 😜 8y
Gissy For me it doesn't make any sense but respect who wants it like that 8y
BookBabe 😂😂I've had this exact same conversation with myself. 8y
