Literally about their time in high school. Emotional. Some music.

Serendipity: my current audiobook (tagged) mentions listening to Tegan & Sara‘s music, and my previous audiobook was a joint memoir by Tegan & Sara. 🎶
Not being familiar with Sara & Tegan‘s music, I wasn‘t sure I would get much out of this joint memoir. Turns out I liked it quite a lot, especially the fact that the #audiobook was read in alternating chapters by whichever of the twins wrote that part, plus the between-chapter clips of their songs and interviews from the late 1990s. Their huge fights with each other was a troubling aspect, but reminiscent of my nieces‘ behaviour. #Canadian #LGBTQ
Did some audiobaking before curling: it‘s our skip‘s 65th birthday today. 😊
Last year would have been the 20 year high school reunion for Tegan & Sara, making them two years behind me in age. Their memoir of those years alternates between the sisters as they tell stories of their family life, fighting over friends, discovering their sexuality, finding a musical voice, and drugs, so many drugs, mostly acid (and they are attempting to be drug-positive, not the usual message!) ⤵️
new this week compliments of the publishers.
The Tegan and Sara novel looks interesting, it even came with a little locker mirror. (inside the book, not the one on the cover.)
Genius cover. This upcoming memoir from Tegan and Sara is out September 24. (A month before MCD releases the Liz Phair memoir!🎉)📚❤️📚
