From the next major voice in Southern fiction (Elin Hilderbrand) and the bestselling author of the Peachtree Bluff series comes an odd couple tale of friendship that asks just how much our past choices define our happiness. Its summertime on the North Carolina coast and the livin is easy. Unless, that is, youve just lost your mother to cancer, your sister to her evangelical husband, and your husband to his executive assistant. Meet Gray Howard. Right when Gray could use a serious infusion of good karma in her life, she inadvertently gets a stranger fired from her job at the local pharmacy. Diana Harringtons summer isnt off to the greatest start either: Hours before losing her job, she broke up with her boyfriend and moved out of their shared house with only a busted Impala for a bed. Lucky for her, Gray has an empty guest house and a very guilty conscience. With Grays kindness, Dianas tide begins to turn, but when the one that got away comes back, every secret from her past seems to resurface all at once. And, as Gray begins to blaze a new trail, she discovers, with Dianas help, that what she envisioned as her perfect life may not be what she wants at all. In her warmest, wittiest, and wisest novel yet, Kristy Woodson Harvey delivers a discerning portrait of modern womanhood through two vastly different lenses. Feels Like Falling is a beach bag essential for Harvey fansand for a new generation of readers.

If your looking for a light romance and a heavy dose of life lessons then this may be the book. It was an okay summer read, I found it didn‘t measure up to her other books.

Another family/friendship/couple drama during summer. Gray is dealing with grief, is in the process of a long divorce and trying to start over. Diana a woman who had a difficult life. These two will help each other. It is about second chance romance, one of them with a a person younger than her. I liked Diana and her friendship with Gray. Marcy is a funny character. It is an ok novel but I enjoyed it. 3/3.4⭐️

This is my first book by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of her books. I can just imagine reading them on a beach or lounge chair with my favorite drink enjoying the book and a beautiful day.

Two women. One is having her picture picture life derailed, the other is used to having a rough life. They come together and their friendship helps them get their life together. The relationships in this book are quick but that is what makes the book so sweet!

I made it about 50 pages in and just couldn‘t do it. I was so disappointed, because I really enjoyed the Peachtree Bluff series. The first few chapters of this one just seemed disjointed, and if I had to hear about Grey “rolling her eyes” one more time, I thought I‘d lose my mind. I do wonder if our country‘s current state of affairs made me less tolerant of the problems of young, beautiful, rich white women....

Mitch OMG - I‘m aching to see some sky and sand and ocean! We‘re on week 7 of a strict lockdown in London - I‘m so so grateful for my garden - but I could do with some sea breeze! 3y
Reecaspieces @Mitch me and you both...this pic was taken at the beach in OCTOBER! Ugh! 3y
Mitch @Reecaspieces oh no! I was imagining the salt air and sand between your toes! 3y

The best parts of this book are the strong friendships. These are characters I would love to have in my life. They are supportive of each other and so much fun! They form their own family amongst themselves, bringing out the best in each other.

A comfortable and relaxing read, perfect for fighting off the anxiety of the pandemic. It‘s is a cure for these crazy times! It‘s a story of friendship and families during both the worst and best of times. It‘s light and breezy, just like the wind off the North Carolina coast. It‘s a perfect book for a day at the pool or beach.
