Favourite Christmas Movie!🎄🎅🏻
Even crazier than Tim Allen becoming Santa, is the fact that he thought he could start cooking an entire Christmas dinner at 5pm😂😂
Merry Christmas Eve #Littens!🎄🤍❤️🤍
Ps. I was like 25 when I realized it was “The Santa CLAUSE”🤣📄

Finally got some time to relax and enjoy my favourite Christmas series!
I absolutely love The Santa Claus series with Tim Allen.
I watched all 3 tonight and got 15 points for #MerryReaders 💚❤️

#holidaymovie #santaclaus #wintergames @Clwojick

Clwojick Plus 1 point for the participation 🙌🏻 5y
Alora Oh yay!😀 Sorry I haven‘t been able to participate as much as I would like! I‘m officially on vacation now and can‘t wait to be more active 😍😀 @Clwojick 5y
Clwojick @Alora no worries! I feel you. I just finish my two main final assignments, and I have another 2 exams coming in this week for my other two classes. Plus I start my new job next week, so I have a ton of running around to do for that as well. The month always ends up being busier than planned when theres an event like this😅It‘s all for fun anyhow, so as long as everyone is enjoying themselves the varying levels of participation don‘t really matter 5y
Alora Thank you! Good luck on your exams! 💜@clwojick 5y

EadieB @BethM Yes, I liked it too! 5y
LibrarianRyan I love this version. It's the first movie i remember seeing as a child. What book is it based on. 5y

EadieB @LibrarianRyan It‘s based on this book 5y
Butterfinger I adore Patch. 5y
GypsyKat Oh man! I haven‘t seen this since I was a kid! 5y
FantasyChick Awesome! Another one I've never seen. 11pts 5y
Avanders Oooh this is one of my favorites!! 5y
LibrarianRyan @EadieB I went looking. The book is actually based on the movie. The movie came first and was written by David and Leslie Newman with David Newman writing the screenplay. Its the same duo who wrote the movie Superman 2. It looks like they didn't get into writing book books until the 2000's. John Vinge adapted the screenplay. There was also a tie in promotion with McDonald that gave away books in 4 parts. 5y
EadieB @LibrarianRyan The book I tagged was written January 1985 and the movie was released Oct/Nov 1985 5y
LibrarianRyan @EadieB yep. They spent 6 months filming and it had been in production since 1978. It went through a few cast changes, or turn downs. That's cool that the book was released before the movie like that. It's just odd they kept “the movie“ in the title. 5y

EadieB @LibrarianRyan They must have planned to turn the book into a movie. I would think someone would have to write the story before making the movie. 5y
LibrarianRyan @EadieB All very true. Either way it counts.
According to GR the original publication was Oct 1985 and it is a Novelization of the story by the Newman's. It's just one of my fav holiday movies and I was excited to see how the movie changed the original. I will now have to see if I can find a “making of“ this movie. because I would love to know more and IMDB is a little lacking.

EadieB @LibrarianRyan I agree, the info is a little hard to track down. I just went by the dates on the Litsy book and the released date of the movie Nov 1985. I know my daughter has a copy of the book as I read it to her many times. She loved the story too. 5y
LibrarianRyan @EadieB It was so unique at the time. Did you know they wanted Fred Astaire to be the wizened elf who gives Santa his powers. or that they wanted Harrison Ford to play the step uncle. I think we need more Harrison Ford bad guy movies. 5y
EadieB @LibrarianRyan No I didn‘t know that. Thanks for the info. I would have loved to see Astaire and Ford in those parts. 5y
